Again linked with Andre Silva (23) and now Andrea Samaris who is almost 30 and a DMF/CMF for Benfica. Looking at his stats in the last 3 seasons he has only featured in half of Benfica's league games.

Silva scored 9 in 27 games for Sevilla in the league and 11 in 41 overall.

Not that I know a great deal about either but Silva certainly wouldn't be cheap and would he be up to the PL?

Press speculation today is that Wolves will listen to offers for Costa and Cavaleiro and possibly Traore. Hause and Bonatini are others unlikely to stay. If Costa, Cavaleiro, Hause and Bonatini do go, the club hope to pull in around £30m in transfer fees

Felt it was fairly obvious we would be open to offers for those mentioned and we should get in some decent money and if anyone offers 15m for Traore we will have robbed them.

Amusing that the top English clubs are always moaning that they have too many games to play. Yet just a few days after the end of the league programme Chelsea last night played a full strength team in a friendly in New England

Money, Chelsea would have made a small fortune from that trip. All the top 6 clubs have to do it now otherwise they will fall behind the rest in terms of financial power which then has a knock on affect for the football.

Albion striker Solomon Rondon who won Newcastle’s player of the season award while on loan there this season is now being tipped to join Wolves for £16m

Today COULD be the day we qualify for European competition. I will believe it IF it happens, but our exploits in the FA Cup semi-final has shown me that nothing is certain until it has happened.

If Watford had no chance of winning the bookies would have stopped taking bets on Man City long ago.

Watford have a chance, City are very lucky to be there after the Swansea debacle but in a two horse race they must have a chance. If we do qualify they must be using mainly fringe first teamers and young up and coming in the Europa League.
The club have already stated that we'll not be bulk buying even if Euro qualification is attained.

I think City will beat Watford quite comfortably today but been wrong before.

Two surprising links with Wolves in the press today. Joe Allen has been Stoke’s best player in a poor season. And 18 year old Luca Connell has been a bright light in a disastrous season for Bolton but has been watched by Spurs as well as Wolves

I thought City would win comfortably but didn’t expect a rout. Since beating us in the semi, Watford have played 7, only beaten Huddersfield, drawn 1 and lost 5. In those 5 defeats they have conceded 18

I doubt we would have fared much better. We should have beaten Watford but in retrospect the loss wasn't the worst thing in the world.

In other news we're apparantly after Rondon on loan at Newcastle from WBA.

Losing in the semi certainly felt like the worst thing on the world on the day having come so close to winning

Mendez Laing strongly linked for a return

Mendez Laing has certainly progressed since we let him go but wouldn’t have thought he would improve our current squad

Bonatini back after an unsuccessful spell at Forest.

We should be looking to move him on this summer.

No idea why we signed him up anyway, was obvious he wasn't prem standard

Strange how Bonatini lost his way. On his form during his first half season with us he could still fit the bill as our third striker. 12 goals and 6 assists during that time but since then next to nothing

I think we'll make a profit on Leo when he does go.

I don’t actually think Bonatini did too badly at the start of the season in the limited time he got.
