We will now win the FA Cup next season

White shorts are good. We looked like Chelsea last night when we had to switch to white socks. Made me feel a bit sick.

New kit is decent without being overwhelming. Not gone as funky as some bringing the 90s back. Time for a recreation of the Bukta classic for me!

I've never really got excited about kits, although I know some people do. It's basically just a revenue generating mechanism and you can guarantee it'll change every two years anyway so what's the worry?

Anyway, have you ever played football, as an adult, with someone who turns up wearing a full kit? Sometimes known as a: "Full Kit Wanchor".

There must be an age where it becomes inappropriate to wear the full kit. Is it eleven or twelve? Children should be taught this at school.

Good point Joby. I still grace the 5-a-side pitches of south Manchester and I do my best to look like to don’t know how to play football with mismatched kit.

I say look like....

Anyway, not from the age of 9 can you wear a full kit without being rejected by society and banished to follow American football and eating popcorn at major sporting events. Whatever.

No Nev, we only make the final in odd numbered years.
But given that we lost all those, maybe you're right!

As for the kit, needs a white collar band and shield shaped badge to be really traditional...

Occasionally come across the cycling equivalent of this – head to toe Team Sky kit (will be Ineos this year), sitting inelegantly on £10ks worth of Pinarello, without a clue how to ride it.

I don't think that we've done as badly as others in terms of kits over the years. You only have to google: "Coventry City Brown Kit" to realise how bad it could really get.

I don't generally care about the absence or not of white from the kits. We've had yellow/gold on the kits for ages anyway; all Vichai and Top did was make it more prevalent.

I really like the new check-pattern home shirt though.

Dunge - I hated the gold when it was brought in by our late great owner. It just screamed Portsmouth to me.

However, gold is a hugely lucky colour in Thailand and that is literally the worst thing our owners have done in protecting our history and heritage. For all the wonderful, amazing things they’ve done, I think I can live with a tiny bit of gold on my kit.

Think the away shirts are gonna be a bit wild this year. Funky pink being one. If it’s anything like that Amanda Utd kit it will be awful 🤢

Mersey - Portsmouth to me is blue top, white shorts and red socks. Nothing gold about it. Always been happy with the gold myself and never understood the fuss over the white.

Nah. They went all blue and gold on top during their stint in the top flight. I thought it was tacky so was obviously gutted when we did exactly the same thing.

Picture Kanu and you can see it!
