I said it before but getting into the EL group stages clearly bought Gerrard an insane amount of leeway.

They won 1 game in the 6 group games, hardly anything to shout about.

It is what is, me personally i'm pleased if Rangers fans aren't embarrassed with a trophy-less season, long may that attitude continue.

As far ahead as Celtic are in terms of finance so Rangers are well ahead of the rest.

A clear second place in the league is the bare minimum they should be achieving.

They appear to be pleased with the bare minimum.

Not really no.

I asked you if you thought on budgets that we really shouldn't be winning the league?

That is a different question from should we be embarrassed by just finishing second.

Because if you agree that we don't really have any right to win the league - and in fact given Celtics budget we are pretty much exactly where we should be in the league then there is nothing to be embarrassed about given our league performance over a 38 game season.

So we should be walking about embarrassed because we lost two cup games.

Not great I will freely admit. Very disappointing even.

Losing in the Europa League to a team from Luxembourg. That was embarrassing.

Repeatedly getting thumped in OF matches? That was embarrassing.

But losing two cup games to the team we were constantly being told were the second best in the league?

Not embarrassing. Just not good enough on the day.
