Tickets are going for 3.5 - 4k on the sites I've found.
As for getting there, drive. It's about 18 hours and if there's 4 of you, it's probably only going to cost £120 in fuel each.
My parents in law live in Madrid, could ask them to Airbnb a room. 500 euro, first come first serve.
Average flight is £600 so driving makes sense. Forget hotels and tickets sadly.
How many tickets do spurs get?

From Dublin to Madrid you'd pay 395 pound, Liverpool Dublin is 30 pound.
Share ideas on the joint thread.. fly to anywhere to the east of Madrid and train it in.
Drive there, or chek out prices for the high sperd AVE trsin from Malaga to Madrid. Brilliant hi speed train under 3 hours. It maybe that flight to Malaga and train combined is significantly less. Unless AVE have already sussed it and raised prices.
Or fly to Alicante and get a bus

Some of my Liverpool mates are flying Heathrow to Bilbao then Bilbao to Madrid, £150 all in.
One of my mates has booked to go Ibiza and then Madrid from there.
Not sure on the price though

Alicante to Madrid by train, 2hr 30min and its £45approx
I know someone who’s flying to Marseille and driving..might be a train option from there as well. Could maybe work out 150-200 if you get cheap budget flights ? But a long journey
If there's a group of 4-5 of you. Drive. AirBnB it outside the city and get a train in.
Looking at £150 for fuel and trains. And accomodation will be loads cheaper outside of Madrid.
Canoe to the south coast of England then to the bay of Biscay on to Portugal then cycle to Spain
