Agree with you OP. I'm a big critic of his. He has a few misplaced passes in him still and will give a ball to a team mate who is trapped but he is improving. the turn and pass in our area last night was probably the best bit of play I've seen from him since he arrived. He needs to work with weights so he's not so lightweight and dispossessed so easily. He's not smaller than Wisey so no reason not to match him physically.

I thought he was poor yesterday. So many under hit passes putting his team mates under pressure. Kovacic had a good game.

I also have been a critic of his in the past but I think that over the last few weeks and particularly last night when I think that we were poor as a team he was excellent. I agree with Bov that he needs to beef up his tackling with more aggression as he seems a bit lightweight on that.

He’s been ok last few games. Even in his good performances he tends to create high risk turnovers from low risk situations at least 2-3 times per match.

Didn't watch the entire game, but what I did catch of the 2nd half and e.t., I thought his most important contribution was his positional game and his workrate in helping out the defence. Eintracht would've almost surely have caught you out late on if you'd had a less disciplined and committed player in his place.

That is true his work rate is top notch. His pressing is excellent as well.

We were really poor last night. I don’t think any of our players had a good game other then our keeper.

I've also been a critic of him this season but he's been bang at it of late.

Started off really well but like our form and performances went through a difficult patch in the winter.

He's picked up since then and agree he needs to hit some weights and gain some strength. Rudiger also said this too

RLC on jorginho

" I've not had the experience of going to a different league and playing, but I imagine it's really hard.Learning a new language, it's probably an uncomfortable feeling, but credit to him. Most fans don't see how good Jorjo is because he's not eye-catching. He does the simple thing but it's so effective. For us as a team, he helps bring play together and everything goes through him. When we play well, Jorjo plays well. He's a massive player for our team. As an advanced midfielder, if he's getting on the ball a lot it gives me the opportunity to get the ball, and it gives me space because he sucks players in. He's massive for us, but also defensively he cleans up and he's very tactically aware. He's someone I've looked at to improve."

Not a bad review

Everyone bar Kepa was average to poor yesterday...kov had his best game...Hazard was shocking bar the assist and finishing penalty

I don't think he was too great yesterday, but on the whole I am a big fan of the guy.

I didn't see the game last night, but in his last 5 or 6 games prior i think he has been excellent.

I really like Jorginho - I feel really sorry for him that he has to endure such abuse (as has Sarri) from a vocal minority who really don't understand his role and what he does for the team. That's a great quote from RLC - it really shows that our players at least see the value that he brings. I think he will be even better next year after everyone has had a full pre-season under their belts.

TLLL - I usually agree with you, but I think Jorginho was one of our better players yesterday. And I thought Kovacic was poor. Our pressing was awful - it seemed like it was just done randomly without the whole team working together. Kovacic was running around, but Eintracht seemed to be able to easily play the ball around him. And his passing was poor. We look so much better when Kante is playing there - although Kante is a loss whoever replaces him. And Hazard, outside of a few moments in the first half, was largely anonymous. Hope they recover their energies for the final.

And now we have both Rudiger and Christensen injured - although ironically I thought we looked better balanced after Christensen went off. Azpi fills even very comfortably at centre back (he's better there than Christensen in my opinion) and Zappacosta provided speed down the wing that Azpi no longer does. Zapp is not great , but he is full of running.

Azpi was awful all game, lucky not to get sent off. He was poor at CB, stupid tackle to get booked - his foot was so high.

Then he handled it because he couldn't control the ball and made another rash challenge 5 mins later.
