Just read the original article on Gomes.
1.
2. Unsurprisingly, it doesn't say anything like the British press have "translated".
Some of the best football we’ve played in the last few years was in the first half of Mourinho’s first season when we had Ibra and him doing that very thing, Diafo
Do they call that paper Ebola in Portugal? I’m sure I’ve asked you before.

We had a lot of frustrating draws at that time but it did seem we were playing some good stuff.
Having someone up there who can hold the ball up and bring others into play may be the antidote to the high press as well. Shame we sold an ideal person for the role in January...

Top 3? How? I can tell you now we will be competing for top 6.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Maybe I'm being overly positive but if we can get the basics at least right (such as being fitter) and not chucking in silly goals then we've every chance IMO.

It’s something our strikers really need to work on if they are going to become top strikers. Especially if we persist with the type of forwards we have out wide.
Make it so, rosso, make it so.

That’s the sort of sensible buy we should be looking at.
Those teams are every bit as bad as we are. As the table, their squads and performances show.
UWW. The new season is three months away! We could still have a decent window, keep our better players and also see our young talented players mature. The knives are not being sharpened by me yet!

Tielemans, James, Meunier and a solid CB would be a good window. If we did want to splurge then a really good striker wouldn't go amiss either.

That is based on no one leaving. We need a striker. Our top goal scorer was pogba who's leaving.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Some players can leave as well but I don't think there's any certainty that Pogba is leaving.
There are going to be big changes at all of United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs next season. I don’t think we can say with any confidence how any of those teams will fare. City and Liverpool are the only two teams in the league I think we can predict will be pretty good to go.
Will be interesting to see if the likes of Wolves, Leicester and even Everton can build on this season and try and push into that next tier below those two.
I personally think Wolves will struggle with Europe, if City beat Watford, but Leicester could be one to watch if they don’t get raided for their best players.
We need a good start or else everyone else will start to get on Ole’s back. He’s under huge pressure - the kind he’ll never have been under before and a couple of losses in the first month may well be disastrous for his hopes of lasting past the Christmas period
