Big congrats to Derby – you team never says die and we applaud you for it. If we'd have been half as composed as you we'd have taken this tie but you rattled us and we fell like a pack of cards, which is about what we've come to expect of this team.

There's a few things wrong here.

1. Bamford was playing brilliantly and was fouled for a penalty - but the ref yellow carded him! That stopped his game
2. The midfield were dominated - what Shackleton did, he did well, but he was missing for too much of the game
3. Berardi was fouled twice in the run up to his second yellow. Yes, the second one was deserved, but it should never have got to that point
4. Cooper naffed it up with Casilla (again!) - doesn't he know that Casilla plays on the edge of his box to sweep? Cooper's job was to hold up the attacker and he failed
5. Cooper pulls a player down in the box (again!) - when is he going to learn?
6. Pablo had his worst game ever in a Leeds shirt - everything he did failed
7. Dallas was superb
8. Ayling did some great attacks and then attempted scoring every time when he can;t shoot for toffee. His crosses failed, and he left us wide open for their fourth
9. Our defence does not know how to defend, our midfield does not know how to defend, they just run into each other
10. Klich has run himself into the ground for this team and needs better players around him
11. Samu should have been replaced
12. Clarlke was a breath of fresh air until his illness - since then he has been garbage
13.The main thing that cost us this year was injuries. We all knew right from the start that Bielsa teams suffer many many injuries - and we did NOTHING about it! Given that, it has been a brilliant and great fun season. Let's go again next year, but let's hope our owners understand what is required under Bielsa to deliver

Gutted but without that mistake from the keeper - and Cooper - who should have sorted that really - we go in two up on aggregate.

Then it’s downhill from there until the Dallas goal.

Two things really went against us. Had the ref given a free kick for the obvious foul then Berardi does not react. Also he booked Bamford and stopped the play for a dive yet when their player does the same he waves play on. They then get a break and score in that passage of play.

Oh well - we go again next season and hopefully one or two quality players will see us over the line.

First club to be top at Xmas that doesn’t go up and now first team to win away in the first leg not to get to the final.

Only Leeds

Again congratulations to Derby and genuinely hope they go up.

Unfortunately Bielsa cannot be beyond criticism and should have made changes earlier. It was obvious that Bamford and Beradi were ticking time bombs.

Hopefully we have some talent lined up and some dead wood to get rid.
Will be another turbulent summer I expect.

Agree with most of that... thought cooper and Berardi were nervy all game. Pablo couldn’t hit a white shirt all game.

For all, this derby were great that sky are w*nking about... and they did play some good stuff... and hit the woodwork twice so could have had 6, it was the same story of the second half of the season... we had more chances and plenty of good ones... but gave them a stupid goal and a stupid penalty.

What you congratulating Derby for,we beat ourselves

Agree with all that. We have thrown too many gift horses away. Being in a fantastic position at Christmas, Not recruiting properly in January, running with a small squad, and throwing golden opportunities away with games we should have easily won and like tonight had it in our grasp, but just could not fathom out how to finish it off, with absolutely crazy mistakes in this and other games. If Bielsa stays, I hope he's learned from this.

Interesting comments from a French journalist:
"the genius Marcelo Bielsa has once again failed. It may be time to stop raving about the manned to confront the limits of his method"

Whilst I agree he's failed again and that there is something missing (personally I think that is mainly the quality of the players), I think Bielsa has really brought something special to us, an integrity and a pride, he's made us into an incredible tea and I hope he stays to take us to the next step.

Bielsa looks broken in his post match interview.

Fair article Jonty

We didn't lose promotion this game. We lost it in January when we let Saiz leave (inconsistent but a threat) and didn't replace him, instead hoping a crocked Brown could replace him. We let Baker go back and signed a keeper which was a decent option but least needed.

We are crying out for a pacy winger and a number 10 who can score. We didn't get them and for me its cost us .

Pablo should have been replaced. He can't be expected to play every game next season. He's been off it by his standards for quite a few games. Too much reliance on him. When he misfires, so do Leeds. Like the look of Shackleton and Clarke is coming back up to form. However, we need a quality and experienced playmaker to take the pressure off Pablo. Disappointed with Mr SlowMo Bamford. Not a £10m striker for me. Roofe is more intelligent with his positioning and running.

Anyway, congratulations to Derby who were magnificent. We go again next season, with Bielsa or Corberan.

Overall I admire MB and his methods but there has to be a balance between principles and pragmatism and tonight it caught up with us.he deserves success.he got shafted in January in fairness too and not supported in the way you would expect.

Cassilla is a total train crash. He needs to be taken into a quite room with the goalkeeping coach and analyse the many costly mistakes he's made recently. He was responsible for the first goal. Cooper was clumsy to give away the pen.

Jorvik, I always felt after spy gate as playoffs approached that we would come a cropper to Lampard.

Fantastic game, well done for getting it spot on, and good luck for your day at Wembley

most of the problem is the language barrier I feel, I remember when he joined, all interviews in Spanish, its a real problem in the heat of battle.

He races recklessly and needlessly out of his area too often Jonty. Did it twice tonight and it cost us a goal and nearly two. Clearly a communication problem with our defenders that leads to misunderstandings.

Peak, you can go back a couple of years under Orta and AR, we let Green go, paid a shed load for Felix, brought back Lonergan. Brought in loanee Blackman, then Casilla half way through season who can't speak any English.

They let a good keeper go, brought in 4 since then, and Camilla's on 4 years still. To be honest, I genuinely think we'd have fared better retaining BPF who got us to top of table for half a season. he;'s not without his faults but probably better than any keeper Orta brought in.

I think you are right, it certainly grated FL, but I've got to be honest I never saw that result coming
