derby . shame its fat frank
I would have no problem with Leeds being promoted. I find it ridiculous that a team like Derby who barely squeaked into 6th place, should be a given a shot at the Prem, despite being 10 points behind Leeds, who have been in the top two for most of the season. Playoffs are ridiculous. Would we have a playoff in the Prem to decide who win the title?
The teams that finished 5th and 6th in the Championship, miles behind third place are the two teams in contention for a place in the Prem next season. Something rotton about the way the play offs pan out, where one or two end of season games can decide who goes up.
It would have been good to have Leeds back the rest will probably just go back down..

The media though would prefer a Frank Lampard love in, even though he has had some awful results this season.
I get Sandy's point but agree with the op the EPL has dodged a bullet.
Leeds bottle it again
Destined to stay in the Championship for eternity. They were top of the league for ages too
Leeds player didnt dive, there was a slight budge from a large derby player albeit it was soft, he did make contact. Fabinho went over for less against Newcastle and Salah/Mane won plenty of those all season.

Only one reason for the play offs Sandy, the same reason as the big leagues have 4 entrants into the 'Champions' League and kick offs get moved around. TV money sadly now effectively runs the game in Europe, it is the price paid for bringing the best players in the world to Europe and especially the PL. I can never forget 'dirty Leeds', as I suspect you will not, but I agree that the 6th place team having a shout against the 5th place team for a place in the PL just seems wrong.
I hate Leeds as much as the next man
however, with me living in Harrogate (around 20-30mins away from Leeds) I would've loved to have them back up to have some easy and cheap away days at Elland Road

A bit like Spurs being nowhere near winning the title, but somehow being in the "Champions" league final?
Chew on this - you were 27 points below Man City and Derby were 20 points behind Norwich, so get stuffed.

Obsessed with Liverpool much then!?
And, as has always been the case an very abusive crowd throughout the match.
==========================================
I dont think they were abusive... I thought the atmosphere looked very good tbf
Having the top 3 go up and nothing for the other 21 (aside from relegation) would be dull.
Leeds vs Bournemouth will always be remembered when they destroyed the whole town one bank holiday way back when. Had such an effect it changed the rules I think that no more football is played on that day or something

You sound like you really can debate like an adult.
I’d like Leeds to have come up tbf. I feel for their fans
They had the tie in the bag though prior to that calamitous equaliser

Wind yer neck in lad, its a cup competition that's called the "Champions League", (note for thickos, the clue is in the word "Champion".
Maybe you are stuck in a time warp and think its 1961 (we've been champions twice since then BTW).

well lets remove a fair few wins from teams then that won it when not champions including liverpool in 08
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Would that be the Liverpool in 08 spelled "Manchester United"?
You really do struggle with dates.
How many times - I didn’t her anyone take away from the great Real Madrid when 3 of their recent CL wins came in seasons that Barca won La Liga.
