We will all have read GM’s views on wage parity and his rationale for it. Whether it works in football seems like a debate already long since lost. In today’s world, quite apart from the football business, employees are paid according to their worth and it is not difficult to make the case for an experienced regular goalscorer being more valuable to a club than a younger player who fills in when others are unavailable, let alone all those in between.
You might wonder whether the evidence of the impracticality of the policy had already been shown by Marosi’s departure. Marquis will go we assume and hanging on to Whiteman might well provide a further test when perhaps the club might be considering improving his contract, rather than the general promise of “jam tomorrow” and then not here, but somewhere else. The marketplace has rules and I doubt whether Doncaster Rovers can sustain its position if merit, experience and loyalty are not factored into its financial relationships with its players.
I seem to recall that even in Communist countries when teams were made up of soldiers in the army, that the best players got promoted! The great Ferenc Puskas before playing for Real Madrid progressed to Major in the Hungarian army!
McCann is supposedly favourite for the Hull City job!
Having spent the last couple of weeks spouting about how he only wants players “who want to play for this club” and saying he would not be held to ransom by players wanting more money, it would be very hypocritical of McCann to leave for more money himself.
Heard a rumour GM is joining Danny Andrew and replacing Barton. He'll been known as Fleetwood Mac

It looks Like GM has gone. If so I don't blame him rather the board for not offering him more than a 1 year rolling contract and not reviewing way before now.
