Having seen us play in CL finals against Bayern, Barca x2 and Chelsea, I must confess the one I dreaded the most was the Chelsea tie.

Something about facing a domestic rival makes it that much more nervy a prospect.

The nerves for a CL final is like nothing on Earth.

You think you’re coping and then you wake up on final day and your stomach will be turning.

The ecstasy of victory or the agony of defeat. One of those will be your fate.

There is simply nothing like seeing your club parade the European Cup aloft - it truly is the summit of the game.

But losing ... dear God, don’t ever let me feel that pain again.

A real summer wrecker. Even the name Lorius Ka.. - I (cant even bring myself to type it) sends a shudder down my spine.

Whatever happens.....you made a CL final before Abu Dhabi Blues. That's some achievement considering their squad and what they've spent.

As much as I'd love for you to do it.....I can't see you doing it. CL final experience in the Liverpool team might see them over the line.

Imagine ja606 over the summer if you do it though. Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea fans will disappear. Come on you Spurs

Not looking forward to it at all tbh and rarely do finals.

Its Tottenham, not Real Madrid or AC Milan

Hope Liverpool turn up thinking "Lad, it's only Tottenham"

Absolutely no chance. We will be 100% focused after last year.

Both clubs are going to turn up.
Here are possible line-ups.......

Spurs likely starting eleven:
Lloris
KWP/Aurier, Alderwiereld, Vertonghen, Rose
Sissoko, Dier, Eriksen, DeleAlli
Moura, Son

Bench: Lamela, Wanyama, Kane, Gazzaniga, Trippier, Davies, Foyth, Llorente, Skipp

Liverpool likely starting eleven:

Allison
Trent Matip Van-Dijk Robertson
Fabinho Henderson Wijnaldum
Salah Firmino Mane

Bench : Mignolet Milner Gomez Lovren Shaquiri Sturridge Origi

Both starting teams look evenly matched, but I like Liverpool's bench a lot more than ours, especially since Kane is still listed as injured.
Thoughts?

Over the weekend a mate of mine was saying how frustrated he is with the wait. I couldn't agree less it gives our injured players a chance to get fit and it extends the period of panic for Arsenal, Chelsea and West Ham fans.

The saturday is going to drag...8pm kick off,an unbearable wait when the trophy is within touching distance.

Must try not to drink too much to calm the nerves as Ive been pished through quite a few of our big games and finals and cant remember much of the occasion.

Ive been watching the BT Spors re-runs of City & Ajax. The commentary on the Ajax winner gives me goosebumps every time, its brilliant. When i watch it i think that if any tiny part of that game had been different, any pass, throw-in, delay etc,the outcome could have been so different. If their keeper hadnt wasted 45 secs and got booked in the 4 minute added on it might have never come to pass. The winner literally went in after 5m 01secs of the 5m added time. It does almost feel like fate is taking us there but that will not comfort me on the day.

Also as others have said, 3 weeks without a game then the biggest game of mosts careers....wont make for a fast start IMO, or may be a few mistakes early doors.

Godspeed everyone!

CL finals are mental for the stress levels. You end up doing some weird shiiitee

When we won in 2005 I was watching it in Manchester and half my mates at my flat with me were Utd fans. I was getting pelted from them at half time but for some strange reason I kept calm and constantly said we could still win this. At full time I pushed my tv over and it exploded

My mate ran down his street naked much to all his neighbours disliking

I’m not looking forward to this one either and I really wish we had Ajax and not spurs

Tell you what, it flucking dragging on waiting for this game.
And likewise, a big part of me is flucking dreading it also.

Glad you did the biz on Barca.....for Spurs much better to be playing the devil we know than Barca who we'd probably be too in awe of (even though we played them twice already).

If we win I am actually slightly concerned i might cry, which just isnt me

I cried in 2005 and I nearly shed a tear when we beat Barca. I think drinking like a trooper helped the emotional tears appear

I don't give a damn about waiting until June 1st.
Gives Vertonghen time to get fit.
And maybe Kane too!
Longer the better

Billy, Most Liverpool players do not dive, but Salah is a serial diver and cheat, need to make sure that he is marked, but not in anyway touched, otherwise Salah will hit the deck as if shot.

Even your fellow Spurs fans are bored of your two’s routine. You need to freshen it up 👍
