I think I was made a prefect but didn't do any of the responsibilities. I got a nice wee pin to wear though.

Having said that, the choice was limited as my sixth year at St Saviours only had about a dozen people in it

Surprised 12 of you lived that long in Douglas. Although I guess when you get to 6th year your kids are old enough to go out drinking so you have more time to study.

I was always the one the prefect grassed on for trying to hit him with an egg.

I'm not proud of it but it was funny at the time

I think you'll find my school had people from Douglas (TODDY rule ya bas), Whitfield, Mid, Linlathen and Fintry. All the best people really.

Trespassers On Douglas Die Young

As for your last point...yes. Tragically a boy in the year below me was fighting with Linlathen (the Hulla or something) against Fintry (Shams) and was hit with a brick, and fell on a knife he was carrying. He didn't survive.

At our school we had those candy necklace things where you could turn it into a sling shot using your teeth and fire small sweets at eachother. That was pretty wild.
