Fraser ** btw.
Can see him being a decent option for Arsenal. Creative, direct and quick. Probably a better Iwobi imo.
Good player, not a bad price either.
Was hoping for better though.
better stats in a worse team than Zaha would makes sense to go for him
2nd only to Hazard for Assists, and would bring Aberdeen a tidy £6m windfall
Good squad addition. But if he's the only winger we're getting, I'd be worried.
I think he’d do better than zaha. Not as athletic, but a much better brain, and feet. Could be a good buy. And for fairly cheap, not English, so won’t command a huge premium.
He would be a massive upgrade on the squad as we don't have a winger
He’d definitely add something we don’t have, so would be a decent acquisition And would probably improve us. Hes not a signing that’d make a massive impact and turn us around, but it addresses a problem area for us, so it would be a positive step. Plus he’d settle in quickly
It’s same situation at the back. Don’t necessarily need world class players (while that’d obviously Be ideal), just good solid players who aren’t consistently dumb and make mistakes would make a big difference

Why wouldn’t he make a massive impact? Just cos he isn’t a big name? Some fans are so fickle
He's had a brilliant season but it was a one off so far in his career.
I certainly wouldn't risk signing a 25 year old who's had one good season and expect him to perform at the level Arsenal need him to

Because that's two out of eleven...?
But it's not just numbers. Look at the players England had during the so-called "golden generation"... big names (more in number than the two you've just mentioned) but nothing at all to write home about as a team.

Well yes. The point was that for Scotland, in answer to Spurtle's point about how "crap" they are (his word), it might be because of the number of "good" or "talented" players. That, however, isn't the only reason a team succeeds or fails hence the example of that England squad where we had players of quality in most or all positions (depending on who you ask) but the team still failed to measure up. As we saw from Chelsea, and to a lesser extent Man U, in response to Man U, it could just as much be player ego too.
Spurtle is an imbecile though, I wouldn’t listen to him.

They still reached those 3 consecutive QF, which is as good a period that they've had since the Charlton days.
Anyway, 2 good players out of 11 is the best Scotland have had it in quite some time.
