Nketiah was, rightfully, ahead of him. How their careers go is another question but the right decision was made. That's how it goes sometimes.
The only one we lost recently and absolutely should not have was Gnabry who fitted a gaping hole we had in the squad at the time. Oh and Joao Virginia.
Yeah Gnabry is the only one so far that was good enough but left

That is debatable, Ismael Bennacer would warrant a place ahead of Elneny imo. Arguably better than Guendouzi at the moment as well.
The other issue is we aren't getting money for these players. Look at how much Liverpool got from Bournemouth for Solanke and rumoured to be getting for Wilson. The likes of Gnabry , Bennacer, Jeff, Malen, Fortune just left for pretty much nothing but with a couple of good loans would be worth a fair bit more.
left us as he couldn't get into our first team. joined juve, played for thier reserve team for all but 1 game, scored only 6 goals. He's not exactly setting it on fire, if he scores a goal above league 1 level then who knows

Not getting the money for them is a big problem, you're right there. We had a huge European intake under what's his face and they all left after he did.
What is fortunate is that the Hale End is doing some fine work now.
tbf, not many of them are good enough to sell and those who are normally become 1st team players for us. we don't have the luxury chelsea have of being able to buy to fill in our gaps, we just have to make do
