Many Tory members may not like Boris but they'll also have to consider who can keep Corbyn out of No.10

If Labour want to get back in power they need to get rid of Corbyn.

With Bojo as PM you'll get a hard brexit. It will be a bumpy ride. More bumpier than the past 3 years

He'd still face the problems May faced trying to reconcile parliament. In that there's not a majority for any form of Brexit.

Whilst Boris would be a disaster it should also strengthen the argument for Scottish Independence so bring it on.

"The estimated average age of Conservative Party members is 73."

That's just because young people are so fed up and out of touch with politics, there's no want to be a member of a party.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Labour Party membership has risen from about 0.4% of the electorate in 2013 to 1.2% of the electorate. The overwhelming majority of new members are young people. The party now has its highest membership figures since 1980 thanks to young people's involvement.

SNP and Green Party membership have seen similar (and, in fact, even greater) movements.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The SNP have more members than the Conservatives. Quite astonishing given the SNP only run in Scotland.

I cannot see a Brexit resolution. As WWSPD has said, there will be no majority for any given form of Brexit in Parliament.

That leaves us with a second referendum or a GE.

Ideal situation is that we get a GE, see a hung parliament (which would surely be inevitable), and then a wide progressive coalition government formed which instituted constitutional reform introducing full proportional representation so that the UK becomes a true representative democracy

is she really the worst ever.... im guessing many would argue that Thatcher or Blair were just as bad if not worse

Brown for sure Dunc.

Brown never got dealt the poor cards May did.

I can't stand the woman but she was on a hiding to nothing once Cameron quit.

posted on 24/5/19

Aye tbh you wouldn't say May was the worst PM or even close. Certainly one of the most ineffective.

This sort of self-centred attitude only makes you even better suited to the role

May was given a really difficult job to be fair. That shouldn't detract from the god awful job she's done of it though.

I like Corbyn and a lot of what he stands for (apart from his Brexit stance) but he'll never be PM IMO.

Diafol

Like Kinnock before him he is unelectable.

Anyone in Labour with a remote amount of competence should have been able to defeat May in the last election.
