Chelsea are banned
Arsenal cant afford him
Spurs are Spurs
City dont pay these kind of fees allegedly
Bayern have already bought 2 new defenders
Real Madrid are focused on attacking players and have bought the Porto defender
Barca want him but next season due to wage structure
PSG is a waste of time
United are in pole position by default.

Not really. If he doesn’t sign it’s because he’s gone to Barca who are a bigger draw than any English club to many players
If someone signs for us it’s only for the money.
If someone signs for Barca it’s only for a guarantee of trophies, an easy ride.
I think he will wait for Barca, even if that means having to do another season at Ajax because of the financial complications:
Another season of being captain there will do him the world of good. He’s 19, not exactly a rush for him to join a big club
I see a deal where Barca agree to sign him next summer like we did with Keita.
The why wouldn't he argument, I've bet on him to sign for man Utd!
He's young Neo, possibly impatient. His Dad may advise him to go, we don't know the background.
We're not doing well competitively atm but
United are capable of luring any player
He’s everything we could do with but no idea if he’s an actual possibility?
Players do want to win titles, trophies and the attached glory but a fcking HUGE pay packet does mean a lot, who on here wouldn’t want to earn as much as they could?

Don't think I said that. However at 19 he's definitely a better signing. The potential of this kid is ridiculous.
If we pull this off (still not sure we will) it will surpass paying £75m to Southampton.

Would be amazing.
It is certainly a fair point to raise. But United are still a massive club, who carry plenty of prestige, even if we have struggled in recent years. The chance to play for a club this size, in the league that produced all of the European finalists this year would still appeal to a lot of players. Add that to a huge wage (massive factor for many players) and no need to learn a new language, and United still have a lot going for them.
If where you finished last season or the season before etc was that important to players, then City would never have got into the top 4, for all the money they have. Money, and the potential to lead a team into a new era does matter
