Shocking today but it's ultimately the Sri Lanka loss that will haunt us if we don't get through now. You can not be 170/6 chasing 230 with 10 overs to go and lose the game.
Vince got a peach today but he's clearly not good enough so of Roy isn't fit enough for India then I'd bring Plunkett in and move Root to open.
The problem with Moeen is he’s a useful 6th bowler and a useful number 7 or 8 batsman.
On his day, he can be a top 6 batsman or a top 5 bowler, but those days are not happening anymore.
Think he needs to work on either being a batsman that can play in the top 6 or the main spin bowler. You can’t hide an all-rounder and why do you even need so many allrounders anyway?
He's been out of nik for a while but his bowling has saved him.
He isnt the reason we lost matches in the competition.
Our top order has failed when chasing. We havent been able to make a big opening partnership.
We havent shown enough composure when chasing. We've panicked and lost the same way 3 times.
We havent leqrnt anything.

Would be risky Kash as they still have to play Australia and England. Lose all 3 and they could find themselves out too.
I agree but if we are picking him to bolster our late order batting, he needs to take the games deep. Sometimes I think, well at least we still have Moeen and then he’s out cheaply again.
His bowling is ok I suppose, I wouldn’t call him a top class spinner though.
He’s certainly not the only problem in our team or the reason we are losing, just a player whose selection needs to be seriously considered.
For me, Vince should be the first to go.
I think today has also highlighted what a big loss Willey has been by not including him in this squad. He's our best swing bowler with Woakes and he's also a big hitter who chips in with a handy 20/30 runs down the order.
Archer has justified his inclusion but did we really need a 3rd spinner in Dawson?

Don’t mind his views on moeen going. But to say that’s he’s only in the team because he’s Asian is where I disagree... now he’s saying he can’t be racist because he voted remain .... does that mean all those that voted leave are racist? Ridiculous.

England were poor in the first 15 overs, they did not put enough balls in the right areas in helpful conditions, we bowled far too short and when the bowlers got it right the Aussies seemed to ride their luck. Some of the batting was poor shot selection, some of them got great deliveries, Stokes showed them how to bat in that situation but nobody could do the same.
England have been poor this world Cup, don't let today take away from the other 2 losses. Came Into this tournament as favourites.... But... Still odds on for a semi final spot.. After that, its a knock out

Unfortunately this is something we've said about the test team for a long time so I'll be amazed if the ODI team are able to adapt any time soon.
Stokes often seems to be the player who leads the way in these situations. He doesn't always get a decent score but he seems to try and get himself in.
There's a lot of experience in our middle order of Root, Morgan, Stokes and Buttler and yesterday needed all of them to make a contribution.
