Stokes catch... If you play cricket, you understand how difficult that catch was. Amazing

What are your moments of the World Cup?
…………………

As an England fan it was the ball freakishly hitting Stokes bat and going to the boundary for 4 runs on top of the 2 that were run
----------------------------------------------------------------------

There were so many moments in that game that were equal to that for me though.

- Trent Boult taking the catch and stepping on the boundary.
- Buttler's four at the end of the super over had me jumping up and down.
- Archer's bouncer that only went for 1 in the super over. I don't think I've ever celebrated a ball going for a single before.
- Buttler diving into the stumps for the run out at the end was immense too.

The whole thing was just immense and is probably the best sporting event I've ever watched to be honest.

I would say Roy’s 3 sixes to Smith

So often we’ve seen Captains bring out innocuous bowlers and they’ve ended up getting a breakthrough or bowling an economical spell. Was so nice to see one part timer get the treatment and get hit out of the attack.

PTID, winning in the group stages counts for little at the business end of the tournament

1992 - England bowled out Pak for 74, in the final, same 2 teams look what happened

1999 - Did NZ win the World Cup? They beat Australia

2011 - Did SA win the World Cup, they beat India

2015 - NZ beat Australia in the group stages, look what happens in the final

2019 - Australia thrash England in Group Stages, look what happened in the Semi Final

Biggest farce was Pakistan's performance in their first match vs WI, they should've been disqualified from the tournament after that performance

The only thing more scandalous than that was Hope's missed stumping

spot on!

Joke aside, whats scandalous is India been the sole host of next WC, having cohosted only 8 years ago. This means India will hosted WC twice in space of 12 years, where as Pakistan, Windies and SouthAfrica have hosted none during this period. Time for other boards to wake up , have increased control and make fair decision before cricket is wiped off.

posted on 17/7/19

England also hosted the 2004, 2013 and 2017 CT Trophy and 2009 T20 WC

India hosted the 2006 CT, 2011 WC and 2016 T20 WC

Definitely agree there's a disparity, but at the end of the day, most of the pitches are batsmen's dreams and bowler's graveyards. This has happened since at least the 2003 World Cup

Sometimes weather plays a part like this year, but really most pitches nowadays are homogenised for crash, bang, wallop. This is a bigger problem in my opinion.

Indian pitches are too small. Just a mere mis hit and it is 6. Was refreshing seeing mis hits in England actually being punished in favour of the fielding side.

Hosting cricket is just football now. If you have the loaded brown envelopes then you get the world cup. No shock its gone from Oz, Eng to India. SA and WI can't afford the WC.

Teams don't want to stay long in Pak or Bangladesh.

So hard to time the ball on this pitch, nonwithstanding the pressure of the final.
2 a ball required now. Nigh impossible.
Such a tragedy unfolding for England fans.

Still lot of jelous fan on here about India. In 2023 India will have hopefully a ipl style World Cup and no luck or cheat or umpire decision just fair cricket. India is cricket where all money is made and decisions are made. If no India then cricket is dead in all country
