Does anyone watch all these player's all time XIs on YouTube?

Most recent English players seem to only watch Ashes Tests and county cricket

Some of their All Time XIs are embarrassing.

Their teams can be based on players that have influenced them, meaning some do look bad. Tim Bresnan's comes to mind!

Great teams all

PTID, I always thought Knott was a lefty

Maybe I will change McCullum to Knott

I will leave him as he is the only NZ player

I checked on wikipedia, he is regarded by experts as best ever player behind the wicket to pay the game.

Barefoot, I don’t mind the odd player being there if they have influenced but some teams are quite inconsistent. Some have players like Marshall and at the same time Ealham.

I think with some guys, it’s like they don’t want to offend their mates. Think they’re missing the point of a best XI

Had dhoni not prolonged his ODI career, he would have been in most All time ODI XI. Sad a lot of players prolonged their careers which had adverse impact on their legacy.

PTID

I’ve heard that Knott, Marsh and Bari were very good keepers. Although I’ve heard Knott got more important runs.

With regards to keepers only, think that Healy, Latif and Dujon seemed to be very good keepers. Although with Dujon it might be because WI used to create so many chances.

I nearly picked MS but opted for Gilly, as I wanted an opener, and have Bevan as my finisher, along with Kohli of course.

For me, Dhoni would be the wk in my all time ODI XI.

It’s sad that Sanga gets pipped again, but Dhoni’s finishing in his prime and the team he built deserve it.

A L/Handed Test team (again from my era)

Hayden
Cook
Sangakarra
Border
Lara
Flower
Akram
Vettori
Johnson
Vaas
Starc

Sorry, Gilly for Cook, and Sanga opens.

Latif took loads of extraordinary catches but career was derailed after he raised voice against match fixing.
Alan Knott was regarded as best ever keeper batsmen before Gilchrist came.
Flower was underrated because he played in low ranked team.

Moin Khan was a good keeper.

Parthiv Patel was my favourite

Used to love watching Dujon keep against the quicks. He was very elegant behind the stumps and with the bat.

Latif was much better keeper than Moin but Moin played more test and odi because of batting and better relation with management/board.

Was India's best before Dhoni came, remember once commentator during live match saying: he is 16 but looks like 14 and appeals like 2 yr old.

See what you make of this test team, ptid

Anwar
Younis
Miandad
Yousuf

Imran
Moin
Akram
Waqar
Asif
Qadir

Zaheer Abbas?

I vaguely remember Abbas but not well enough to say that he was better than any of my picks. Same with Wasim Bari, who by all accounts was a terrific keeper.

Agree with most of the player selected. Mine as follows:

1) Anwar
2) Sadiq ( Aus rates him highly, played very well against likes of Lillee & Thommo)
3) Babar Azam(great prospect)
4) Miandad
5) Yusuf
6) Imran Khan
7) Rashid Latif
8) Wasim
9) Waqar
10) Qadir
11) Fazal Mahmood( as good as any bowler in his time- helped Pakistan emerge victorious in various matches when they were relatively new entrants in international cricket).

Zaheer Abbas - magnificent career but was not prolific against the best in his time, i.e against lillee and windies pace bowlers.

Near misses: 1) Majid Khan 2) Muhammad Asif 3) Saqlain 4) Wasim Raja 5) Inzamam 6) Wasim Bari

Will need to browse a lot to conjure English all time XI.they are playing since Allah knows ...

Zaheer Abbas was one of the best batsmen to watch ever.

He was also very attacking when confident, I think he was ahead of his time.

Saqlain? Akhtar? Asif Iqbal? mushtaq Mohammad? Hamid Mohammad? Mushtaq Ahmed?
