If not for a gk error it would have (butterfly effect not withstanding) Been 1-1. Villa obviously the better team but derby players can hold their heads high

Falling apart again? Crying on the telly again, should be called sheep again!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Didn't see it, don't have Sky and the Euro elections are far more important.

Villa are a good team that simply got better as the season developed.
I was exasperated by MON's tactic of surrendering possesion to em in our reverse fixture and we got hammered by them.

John McGin has to be one of the better players in the Championship.

Of course Sheep spending won't be curtailed by this reverse after posting up a £14M profit for the season will it?

This gives the Reds the opportunity to take all six points of you next season!

I thought villa were poor, derby worse. Wrong team selection.
My biggest fear was the players wouldn't be brave enough but team selection was shocking

I was in the torch pub near Wembley and it was so deflating when the team was announced

Good effort this season by you lot. Mostly due to good manager I suspect. Can you hold on to him?

Will you get Tomori and Wilson again next season? From what little I've seen possibly your two best players. You also have a few who no longer have the legs. Big churn this window for you.

Lots of new blood coming through the ranks.

Franky might stay or might go, Jody might stay or follow. Wage bill down. Get the structure right and we can attract a few other decent loans regardless of the manager.

Would love to keep Tomori for another season but this is the ting with loans innit. Positive despite the bumps I think we'll hit this summer. Just worried if we do lose Frank and bring in a hoofball or dinosaur manager and then start from scratch all over again, then I'll be miffed.

Massive close season. 2W calls things clearly.

Will our manager still be Frank?

In my opinion Lampard respects Derby and will make his call early to give us the option of building with him or building with someone else. He would make tsure his departure would have the minimum effect on us.

I expect Frank to make the call in the couple of days.

By the way if we had of won I expect Frank would still have have options in the higher league that he will have to turn down to stay at Derby.

Has one season with us gripped him enough to go again?

When I saw the team sheet I said on the thread, that team is not winning a play off.

I was hoping we'd go up. Frank would go with a massive payoff for us and we'd nick Bielsa.

If you ever want a board to disintegrate ie Leeds, bring it on.

I'm just back home from the match and Igor I agree totally with you. We couldn't believe the starting 11, why would anyone pick Bennett to play the loan striker role when you have Waghorn and Marriott. In the second Leeds match we went forward quickly, today we were passing it along the back 4 in the 1st half. I'm really disappointed with the first 65 minutes till we had the best team on.

I've said it before hundreds of times.....Lawrence was rubbish today, he had his one good match out of six versus Leeds. I hope I never see him in a Rams shirt again. Even Jozefzooom showed him up, he got some good crosses over.

Frank made a terrible mistake with the team today, but for some reason I want him to stay with us. Roll on next season.UTR.

I tried my best to back TL as much as possible this season but even after the Leeds win I wanted him dropped for the final but knew if I stuck my head above the parapet it would be shot down.

Fin said it early doors we missed Holmes but to leave two goal scorers on the bench was criminal for that length of time.

Flippin heck Igor, it was you who bollocked me for criticising Tommy Tuppence ages ago. Now I find you agree with me!!! Great stuff.

I didn’t like the selection either but it maybe it could have worked had Huddlestone had a decent game. He looked very rusty and off the pace. I thought Bennett put in a very good shift considering how the game went. I thought Josefzoon was awful. Their full back was tired and slow but Zoon was scared to take him on for pace.

Easy to criticise selection but man for man and also as a team over the season Villa have been better than Derby. Lampard has made great use of what he has had to work with. We gave it a decent go and for all the talk about the team that was picked, the goals were caused by simple mistakes by Bogle and Roos, two young players who have had good seasons so this is part of their meaning curve.

I didn't like the starting 11 but I don't have the medical reports etc which Frank has. I would still have started with Marriott rather than Bennett.

We didn't get the rub of the green today I'm afraid. El Ghazi's goal came off his back, could have gone anywhere and looking at the replay McGinn appears to handle the ball before he headed it.

Roos should have taken his head off first and worried about the ball after, he wimped out and it cost us, simple.

Not for the first time this season either, if Carson is surplus to requirements then Roos is not the answer.

Still feeling deflated, especially as we had to go 2 down to start playing. Anyway off on my holibobs now 👋
