Need to start watching it, heard good things.
Yep heard its brilliant but Sky still stuck in the 90s with there 1 episode a week
To be honest some series still work well as one a week, and I’d say this is one of them.
With the subject being so powerful knowing true events were real, it’s quite hard hitting and takes some processing imo. I think binge watching it would kind of dampen it down as one episode flows into the next with no thought between.
My view anyway.
I tend to watch 1 episode a night anyway. Plenty of time to process and look forward to the next.

You’ll be able to binge it in a couple week then when it’s done. Not a long series and already on Ep4.
Haven't seen last nights episode yet, but yeah it's been brilliant so far.
I know some people who were put off the whole thing because of everyone speaking English, but it's just so well made that it hasn't really bothered me.
Only really 2 other options anyway - have people speaking English in a Russian accent which would have been even more ridiculous, or have subtitles which would have attracted far fewer viewers.
Russian with subtitles wouldn't have bothered me, I don't mind subtitles and would much rather have them than loads of poor Russian accents.
Agree though the way it is, hasn't been an issue at all and it really doesn't take away from the viewing experience.
I want to start watching this. It might help fill the void left by GOT, for the time being, though I don't suppose it's going to be a very long series.
Also, the praise I've heard for it is amazing. It's already the number 1 highest rated show ever on IMDB.
There's only 5 episodes, and episode 4 has just been on. Each episode is an hour.
I've still got Westworld series 2 to watch which I'll binge soon.
I'm still solving the Maddie case. Or is that not cool anymore? Are we leaving that to the experts again?

Speaking English in Eastern European accents I thought worked quite well in Red Sparrow, although that movie had American characters who were in Russia and Russian characters in America so needed something to differentiate them I guess
I watched the first episode of this, certainly an interesting story to tell. However maybe would have been nice to have more build up/characterisation before the meltdown I think..that’s what I was expecting rather than going straight into it. Of course I may change my opinion on that as more eps happen.
I was disappointed with the acting and some of the dialogue based on the hype though, most of them seem like average soap level actors.
And the English accents did put me off a bit but got used to it soon. As I said I thought speaking English in accents worked well for Red Sparrow, and of course they could recruit English speaking actors from the region or more familiar with the accent but I guess the extra work for all involved to put on an accurate accent justifies using English.
Thoughts to those affected by the Chernobyl disaster. From a United fan.
Yeah, watched the first episode. It was pretty good, but It did feel a bit drawn out.
There's people on social media who grew up in that time and have praised the accuracy of the show. I'll try and find one if the threads

Finished watching it now. Very well done, but horrific series.
Can't believe how many people don't realise it's base don an actual disaster.
I've seen people saying they need to see more seasons before than can compare it to game of thrones and the writers have been too unrealistic

It’s facking scary.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes the whole thing was very eerie
Just finished it. Very harrowing.
As for the language, the way I see it is they had them speak English for an English audience as if to immerse yourself into the world of a Soviet in 1986.
Having them speak Russian or with an accent would have left everyone as a character. I felt they got it right using regionalised English accents
