Breaking - Leeds United confirm that Marcelo Bielsa's contract as head coach has been extended to the end of next season.

Leeds United are delighted to confirm that Chairman Andrea Radrizzani has officially exercised the option to extend Marcelo Bielsa’s contract for a second season.
Marcelo has met with the Board of Directors on a number of occasions over the past few days and has confirmed his intention to continue on in his role of Head Coach.
Bielsa penned a two-year deal with the Whites in June 2018 with the club maintaining the right to extend or terminate the deal at the end of year one.
During Marcelo's debut season in English football, the team amassed a total of 83 points - the highest points total since promotion from League One during the 2009/10 season, playing an attractive brand of football which has helped Bielsa to become a popular figure amongst supporters.

Realistically don’t think that’s going to happen now
No I cant see him selling either, but he is playing with fire if he ends up having to sell players or not investing.
He only came out and said it will a difficult summer last week and then we turn down one of the richest club owners in the world? Dangerous game which wont be forgiven if it goes wrong
Based on reports at least, we now can assume that
people with money are interested in buying into Leeds.
I for one doubted that was the case.
Bielsa has put us back on the map, and it was Radz that went and got him. LUFC are on the up!
always good to get your most important signing out of the way first. now lets give him something to work with.

agreed....no lets get business done early & march on
Agree. If it doesn’t work out then Bielsa and Radz go and we are reliant on another similar offer. These guys won’t hang around though for us
When was the last time we started a season with a manager who we started the previous season with...
Am itching to know what guarantees have been given to MB, ( other than a running track!)
He must have said Kalvin stays and we buy him , him and him to complete the jigsaw.
What do you think his terms were?

Yep, it was Simon Grayson. 2010/11 and 2011/12
Brian McDermott was the last time we started with the same manager that finished the previous season. He saw out the end of the 2013/14 season and started the 2014/15 season.
Then Cellino happened.
