For once we have a settled hierarchy in place and we can now concentrate our efforts on sorting out the playing staff without having to play catch-up.

Knowing Bielsa's thorough approach to everything connected to his job, he will go on holiday having identified who he wants in and who can be released. It's not unreasonable to think that the players he wants could be in by the start of pre-season so that everyone is settled and at the same level of fitness.

For once we might be properly prepared instead of rueing missed opportunities.

Fantastic news. Let’s hope Bielsa was firm re the squad he needs, and that this means he got the assurances.

Really hoping that the Messiah affect comes in to play with Casilla. Did he suck badly during the run in to play-offs and in them? Yes. Hopefully, with a summer under MB, the goalkeeper I thought we were getting emerges.

*Mainly, more commanding of his area and when the back 4/5 have their backs to him.

Call me an old cynic if you like but wasn't the whole is he/isn't he saga a bit stage managed, a touch soap operaish, aimed at getting more bums on seats. Don't think he ever had any intention of doing anything other than fulfilling his contractual obligations, the cat was out of the bag several weeks ago when his brother said he was staying.
