I don’t remember the details, but I seem to remember that we had a fairly low key, uninspiring, pre-season before the 2015/16 season.

People moaned about it at the time.

Good seasons always follows a pre season of mixed results in very low key friendlies, with fans declaring certain relegation following a 1-1 draw at Kettering.

Just the way I like it.

Won't it be nice to be able to go back to the Britannia/Bet365 stadium and be able to reminisce that was where we had a really low point which made the incredible onwards and upwards trajectory that followed all the sweeter?

When Stoke and ourselves exited opposite ends of the Championship that season who could have dreamed how much better the following decade would have been for us?

By the way, if travelling away is bad why aren't we at home for any of the matches?

They're still fairly Local compared to travelling abroad and lower key allowing the Players to build up the fitness.

I knew that, still have to travel to the wilds of Lincolnshire tho!

Also bored, last season is barely over and all there is around is the usual tripe about us being interested in player X, Y and Z (probably their agents seeding rumours) mixed in with the pundits looking to fill column inches with the usual insights on how our better players should move to 'bigger' clubs.

I used to be really excited by transfer rumours as a link used to mean you had genuine interest in a player.

Nowadays agents pedal so much nonsense you can pretty much ignore 99% of speculation.

I only really get interested in players when it’s clear there are talks going on.

That's a good list to see. I've heard rumours we're looking to finalise a marquee game at home to Sevilla just before the season starts, but one is fine. Pre-season should be about preparation and fitness, and these low-key friendlies allow that without any sort of pressure or expectation.

Seen that Chilwell is going to Atletico for £71m. Nice to see them helping us get £90m out of Man City for him 😂

I imagine there's more chance of the Atletico directors laughing themselves silly upon hearing that rumour than it actually being true.

I'd be surprised if they've even inquired, let alone bid, let alone bid £71m.

I prefer to say: “enquired” rather than “inquired” in this context.

Apologies ..... I’m bored .... 😐

I find all the ‘click bait’ incredibly tiresome as well.

“Leicester City linked with this player”
“Man Utd make offer for Leicester defender”
“Tottenham will move for Leicester player, talks underway”

Oh ....... just shut up!!!!!!!

You forgot
Leicester City will have to fight to keep
Players as chillwell maddison and maguire
Are targeted by man City, man utd, and spurs 🤷‍♀️
