Maybe that there's only so many players we can buy in and integrate with the team within one summer, so he's looking at priorities this year (3/4/5 players who knows) and also what he wan't next year based on who else will be leaving (from his list).
Maybe there are players that we will scout further for next season with a view to next summers transfers, or players that will be more achievable signings next year if they're closer to the ends of their contract.

If he is flogging players and bringing in targets this year then i dont see how his transfer rebuild starts in Summer 2020

It's nice to hear there may be some kind of plan in place, however it's early stages and much easier said than done. Particularly moving on that many players, and the ones on high wages we will have to take a hit on.
Young being here for another year is depressing though, a first choice RB is an absolute must buy this summer, and even then I'd have Dalot as cover for RB and LB. Young should be an absolute emergency squad player if all other options are injured.

Don't reply to him, it's a decent article that should get discussion about the ins and outs and transfer plans, it doesn't need to be made into another RDD saga, it's boring now.
There isn't even a right or wrong here, he asked what Solskjaers comments could mean so people gave their thoughts on it, if he doesn't agree or understand that's fine, but unless one of us can get Ole on the phone there's no more to be said.

Dalit isn’t good enough to be a regular starter at the moment. In fact he’s shown nothing to be a good RB
Currently in China should do the sensible thing if he wants discussion on the actual topic, and not a long winded debate about the terminology in Solskjaers comments.
