Sarri

Poisoned chalice that managerial job at Chelsea. Frank Lampard is probably the only option that's immune to that considering his legend status.

With Hazard seemingly leaving and a potential transfer ban in place plus with Derby losing in the play-offs, I think this is the best opportunity for Lampard to step in and maybe given more time than the usual managers to change things at Chelsea.

Can only be Frank (and Morris) and I'm fully on-board with it.
Frank has a direct line to Roman. No third party, which is more than any other manager had.
Everyone pulling in the same direction in the short and long-term, from the board to manager to fans.

Chelsea affliated direction is one I endorse.
Frank returning could just be the catalyst that tips/sways Hudson-Odoi into committing long-term, accelerating contract renewal (worth it)
Manager that is genuinely invested in developing young players, will instill belief/confidence.
Gives club a much needed boost and perhaps gulvanise the club from top to bottom.

Jorginho can stay. PHiguain will return to Juventus and reunite with Sarri.

Three or four months ago I'd have said thank fack for that..but Sarri has come good and got us both 3rd place and won his first trophy.

Is Lamps ready....I don't know...will it be a step up too far too early - again I don't know.

This situation all seems a bit bizarre

I'd actually like jorginho to stay provided he's used in a tandem with kante

The appointment of Cech in Sporting Director capacity could also turnout to be a shrewd masterstroke.
Roman listens to Cech, respects his opinion and generally trusts him.

Is it a done deal with Sarri ?,I haven't seen anything official yet !

Also I'm not too sure on Frank at this moment in time, maybe the future, and hopefully DoF Petr Chec or Ballack .

I love the way you say Jorginho can stay as if we're willing to give him a second chance or something.

I'd be right behind Sarri with a transfer request in hand if I was him, force that move to City this summer. What'll we do? Boo him?

At least "Furrk Sarriball" crowd got their wish in the end.

Letting Sarri go, also means that the club will accept the ban. If we aren’t willing to afford him the funds or the patience to stick through his work on what we have started to build, why are we expecting him to stay (especially with no hazard and no reliable strikers) and face the inevitable sack next season?

According to Pedulla

"Juve awaits him"

Friday 31st May: a date destined to be decisive for the new Juve coach . Not that there were doubts, starting May 17 last, about who was the number one candidate, but in the last hours rumors (unfounded) about an attempt for Pochettino had circulated . The mission of Fali Ramadani in London, escorted by Alessandro Pellegrini , ended immediately after 3 pm when he reached the airport: they saw him in Madrid, but it may well be that he stopped over, we have no confirmations. What matters most is that Ramadani had the go-ahead from Marina Granovskaia , the documentation is ready, with the approval of Roman Abramovic. No compensation is provided, if there were any they would still be "masked", little publicized, as part of a perfect gentlemen’s agreement between the two clubs, reiterated last January when Juve sent Higuain on loan to Chelsea without demanding redemption obligations. Ramadani had already met Marina at least three times before Baku, moving underneath. The Chelsea has locked ( as announced 15 days ago ) Frank Lampard , leaving the Derby County, hero of Stamford Bridge. Plan B: Espirito Santo, however today at a distance from Lampard, without excluding surprises. The Blues appreciated Sarri’s behavior, made of work and results in the midst of a sea of problems. And they already knew that forcing him to respect the contract until 2021 would have been a further problem with the difficulties linked to the blocked market (and last summer, when Sarri signed, the negotiations were free &hellip. This is why the dialogue was constructive, constant, serene, contrary to what happened with Conte last year after winning the FA Cup. Juve waited for news, in particular Fabio Paratici relaxing in Capri, in the late afternoon he lit up the green light. The agreement between the Juventus club and Sarriwas already set: three-year (or two-year with option) from at least 6 million per season plus bonuses. Today Sarri, if the programs do not change, should return to Italy with a private plane already booked. The Juve awaits him.

I've never read anything personally that states Petr Cech has the ear of Roman Abramovich...not saying he hasn't...but i'm not aware of it

Also still questioning what qualifications PC has for this lofty title

If Frank (or any manager) puts Kante sitting and not aggressively pressing high in one form or another they would have a lot to do to convince me they are set out to be a manager, let alone a Chelsea level one.

I think this is an incorrect assumption:
“the majority of fans haven't taken to him.”
A vocal minority haven’t taken to him, have booed him and want him out. I think the majority of fans want to give him a proper chance - especially after achieving so much in his first season. I’d be very sorry if he goes. I certainly don’t think Lampard is anywhere near ready to manage at this level - same as Ole at Man Utd. If we’re swapping Sarri for Allegri then I suppose that would be fine - although Allegri would be starting from square one - and Sarri has already had a season under his belt. I can understand Sarri want good t go of course - Chelsea managers just don’t get a fair shake.

He's pretty useless in third seasons, how useless do you think he's going to be in third appointments?
