don't think Brodge will be too happy about that saan

There is no chance we would go for him, he can actually hit a set piece. It’s not the United way.

Big United fan too. Ronaldo was his idol growing up and he followed United.

Could be something in this. He was brilliant at OT last year. MOTM easily. I want us to now target these type of players instead of Sanchez types.

It’s definitely the way United need to go - I can see him leaving if £60m plus is on the table which would be no problem for United.

Yeah he wouldn't come cheap and nor should he. You took a risk on him from the Championship where we weren't in a position to do that and also play him like you did. Although I think we should do that if the player is right.

Be a good profit for you and might be able to bag Tielmanns.

I would prefer Tielemans out of both of them given the choice, but Maddison is superb no doubt

If I was choosing a combined 11 of our two teams right now, not including Tielmanns as you don't own him, I'd pick 6 of yours and only 5 of ours. The difference in the league has been our squad simply has more depth.

Bit early for Maddison to go to a 'top' club, I'd be really wary about shelling out £60M for him at this stage - maybe after another successful season with us?

If we sell that's a decent profit for someone who only cost around a third of that price only a year ago, but he is just the sort of player we need to keep if we are to mount a serious challenge for Europe. We also need to add Tielemans of course.

I don't think he's a flash in the pan. Looks a very confident lad. He was tremendous at OT.

Ole has apparently let it slip he wants young home grown players so he would fit the bill.

Wan Bissaka, Maddison n Dan James would be a good start for our rebuild.

We should slap a price of £75m on his head.

..... or £60m for him and Andy King

Think he is the 61st player we have been linked to since the window opened. Wouldn’t look too much into it

The type of player top clubs should be going for.

United have been linked with over 60 players since the end of the PL season. So it's hard to take all these seriously.

On the player himself, I think he'd be a good Addition. If we were better than how we ended last season, I would have said another season at Leicester might be best for all parties involved. But we need the rebuild to start sooner now.

One of the best young midfielders in the world if we get him. Vastly overrated and not United quality if we don't. I have never seen him play.

I think the answer to the question as to whether he’s an appropriate signing for Manchester United all depends upon their strategy as a club.

He’s a very talented footballer who I’m sure will go on to achieve in time, but he currently overplays some times and his decision making has room for improvement. He’d be a good signing for Man Utd if they want to be patient and develop him.

If they believe he’s a player that will help them close the gap on Liverpool and Man City then I think that would be unlikely in the short term. It would also be unfair to heap that sort of pressure on the player. A Pogba-esque type, big money, signing might serve them better if that’s the aim. Where his development is best served in those scenarios would depend upon how Man Utd would intend to nuture him as opposed to guaranteed game time at Leicester as one of the main men.

United need ready made players not ones with potential. If they don't have a good start to the season Solskjaer will be gone by Christmas.

Whether he goes or not, I'm confident that anyone who wants him /will/ be held to ransom over him. Same goes for Maguire, Chilwell or anyone else a big club is sniffing around.

I reckon ultimately the price tags involved will put these clubs off as not being value for money. Even Man Utd.

This is now even money with the bookies to happen. Should be interesting!

I suspect there will be a few acid tests for Leicester this summer, and Maddison will be one of them.
We constantly here that the target is European football and to challenge the top 6. However, you cannot hope to achieve that if you continually sell your better players. Especially to those teams above you that you are trying to catch.
I accept that the players themselves may want to go, but unless we somehow stand firm and resist these bids then 7th will be the best we can achieve.
We have a good manager, a good young squad, excellent owners and facilities that are only going to get better. Decisions made over the next couple of months will dictate what are true ambitions are.

To be fair to the club they have played quite hardball with our major transfers since Kante left.

We got stupid money for Drinkwater.
Mahrez had to chuck his dummy out to force a move and we still managed to get Man City to break their transfer record.
We quoted stupid money for Maguire after the World Cup and put Man Utd off.

I agree we need to continue to do this. If players are really adamant they want to leave there is not much you can do other than maximise the fee.

Don't think Maguire is much better than what we have already when you consider the fee being asked.

For both players, the step up and the pressure expected is quite unreal. We're expected to get into the top four and half the gap between us and where the top two finished pointwise. The scrutiny is heightened. Look at Young when he first came. His diving antics went largely unnoticed at Villa but at United he earnt his diver tag in his first few months with us. Both these guys, with the fees they will come at will be expected to perform at a higher level more constantly. Any mistakes in their games will be highlighted 10x more than it is now.
