VOF totally agree.. I’ve read a lot of contradiction on here at times..

“We want new owners, radz is skint’ then “well it’s totally morally wrong on this money in football”

What do they want?

A clean living billionaire who rescues cats from trees, is a Leeds fan, and doesn’t have any other business interests what so ever!

Good luck with that

All billionaires are generally tax dodgers, they’ve invariably got excellent lawyers & accountants to mask it all. Joe public pays up because HMRC can screw us over as we’re far easier targets.

But tax dodging is one thing, human rights are another - & that’s where I do conflict a bit.

In all honesty though, if come May next year the investment & involvement of this group brings promotion, ill happily buy them a beer, shake there hands & party like everyone else will. Morality will make way for being completely inebriated in the middle of leeds centre πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½πŸΊπŸΊπŸΊπŸΊπŸΊπŸΊπŸΊπŸΊπŸΊπŸΊπŸΊ

Thing is with AR is he said he was going to fix things from top to bottom, doing that with the state the club was in I think cost him more than he thought!..

Remember, Cellino said exactly the same but hadn't the money!..

AR also said that to do it he'd be relaying on the academy to pay its way!..

Cellino killed the academy!..

Some bad things have been done but on the whole things are much better now than before he came in, and with him tying down Bielsa for at least another year suggests he's doing things right!..

Bielsa did good with the youngsters he brought in and it seems he knows just what he wants, so, hopefully the right investment comes his way and he can show this league that its not as tough as it thinks it is!..

Myanmar?

Qatar?

How do the fans feel about this?

>>>>>>>>>>>

Great question Jonny. Moral dilemma for sure.

I want to be the next Man City.

I want the club back in the Prem. Now.

In an ideal world, we're a self-sustaining club
not reliant on oil money or other dubious types.
Where Bielsa continues to implement his genius.
Which turns us into the next Ajax. Where we
have a youth system that produces exceptional
talent season on season. That funnels in to the
first team of home grown world beaters. But,
unlike Ajax, we keep them.

Reality is, that isn't happening. Not any more.

We have to have massive funding to get up and
stay up and compete at the highest level, now.
Or tread water in the Championship.

On the loanees issue. We botched that yet again.
Other clubs (including Derby) nailed it. We have to
get better in that department.

Or just buy the right players.

Whilst I appreciate that AR is seeking funding, it does mean that there is less focus on the job of building squad for next season.

Hope that this Qatar interest is sorted quickly one way or another so some focus can be how everyone pulls together for promotion this season coming.

Watford, Huddersfield, Reading, Fulham, Cardiff, Bournemouth, Sheffield Utd, Norwich. All sides that didn't need to throw money at it, just had a good, organized settled squad, that's squad, not side.

All yo-yo clubs Shaun. None that you listed are ever going to be considered 'top 6' clubs. That's why we need massive funding - if we want to get up and stay up and compete at the highest level (top 6).

I’m pretty certain that any Qatari interest will want business conducted quickly too. Both on & off the pitch.

Suppose we can expect the next Adryan arriving anytime soon 🀣🀣🀣

I don't see why squad building should stop if AR goes to Qatar. That would mainly be the remit of Orta and Bielsa.

I think it's good that AR lined this investment up in May and is progressing with it. I wouldn't be surprised if this investment and link-up with the PSG owners isn't in some way one of the reasons that Bielsa agreed to stay on for another season.

Smart business all round by AR for me.

I would be good with 2 out of 4.

Radz will not sell now, the potential rewards of waiting until we get promoted means he will try to get up without any other parties being involved.

No smoke without fire... I think we'll see investment with conditions attached. Investment does not necessarily translate into squad building funds. FFP rules apply. Unless we can do something about the revenue we will be restricted to a small budget plus player sales.

Of course, we could rename ER or announce the world's most lucrative shirt sponsorship deal.....

How many times have we seen behind the scenes activity co incidence with lack of focus. We see it every time there are rumours of takeovers we saw it as spygate rumbled on this season

These things are ALWAYS a distraction.

The sooner this is resolved the better and the club knows exactly what strategy it can pursue to properly support Bielsa.

Revenue is double nearly every club in the l argue without parachute payments.

There plenty of room in FFP.

And with costs of £50m, budget is far from being small, it’s been wasted

We won’t get millions from this - yet - but I suspect we will get access to some decent fringe players who will bolster our squad next season. It will also help both clubs avoid breaking FFP rules.

If they invest now I think they will come back for the lot before too long.

Don’t you think Bielsa knows that already?

Revenue can’t increase much. Where would the increase come from.

The amount we spend on players is actually very good and Radz has been happy to focus the clubs spending on the squad.

Problem we have is that most of that money has and is being wasted. We are tied into paying a lot of money on wages for players that aren’t good enough. And now there’s not much room left to spend on new players. And we can’t get rid of the ones we don’t want to make room because no one wants them.

I have no issues with the amount we are spending. I think it’s around the right level of risk reward to get promotion from the owner. The problem is the director of football that has wasted it.
