Zizou needs to get over Pogba and give us some money for Eriksen. £20m will do

They have Modric and Areola's contract ending 2020.

Modric will probably be looking at a lower league with massive salary otherwise i would take him for a couple years if offered. Old now and not in his prime but will be a Winks upgrade still and one Winks can learn from.

Not sure how good a GK Areola is.

Areola only just signed this summer and will likely become there number 1.

Ah didn’t realise he was just on loan at Madrid. He’s contracted until 2023 with PSG

We failed to bring either of Bruno Fernandes or Dybala in and there would have been riots if Eriksen left in that case but honestly better if he had.

Players on their last year of contract will be looking after number one - themselves. Trying to avoid injuries and Eriksen has shown enough during his time at Spurs to get a move irrespective of recent performances.

Agent and himself can attribute it to the above

Levy gets a lot of credit which he deserves for the infrastructure but he has taken his eye off the footballing side and on that department has been grossly negligent.

For all his praise on being smart with money, his reluctance to invest in the squad has led to this position and for such a smart man he could see £150m worth of talent walk away for absolutely nothing.

Instead of giving Pochettino and his team £100m two years ago to spend on 2/3 high quality players. On top of a quality starting XI to push on. He could find himself in a position where we need £100m just to stagnate and a further £100m to get back to 2016/17 levels, let alone push on from there.

And thinking about that makes me want to slap that shiny bald head of his who took our performances for granted and thought he could save the additional CL money believing we will continue to over-perform.

It's an opportunity which has gone begging and i'm actually fed up with his approach. We understand he isn't an oil rich sheikh playing with clubs but equally he has been an absolute scrooge with money on the field.

word on the street is that the Spurs hierarchy are considering selling Kane in the summer for the right money in order to reinvest it into the squad...

wouldnt surprise me with Levy after we missed any opportunity to sell Toby, Jan, Rose or Eriksen for any decent fee. Other players gone shat so value gone down also.

I remember getting shot for suggesting if an offer for £90m came in for Alli that I would seriously consider selling... I think I would bite someone's hand off for that £90m today

I said the same thing a couple of years ago

Nobody is without a price. £200m for Kane as an example? I would accept that.

The only problem I would have is that I don't trust our scouting network to do that £200m just.

At the moment I genuinely don’t care if Hugo, Aurier, Dier, Wanyama or Eriksen don’t ever play for us again.

I can accept Toby, Jan and Rose leaving at the end of the season, provided their replacements aren’t just Foyth, Sanchez and Davies.

If we can grow Ndombele into the new Dembele and GLC into the new Eriksen that would be a start. But we’re still only (attempting to) replace like for like, without investing in the depth we missed when we had those two at their peak.

And that’s before you get to the fact we quite literally need a whole new back 5. Jan, Toby, Rose all as good as gone. Hugo is finished, and we don’t have a RB as it is. I’m concerned that we are on the slippery slope to a facking catastrophe here.

Quite.

I'd love to see the club finally agree the stadium naming rights and release half of the revenue for immediate transfers. That could be about £150m in purchases for Pochettino to improve the team.

The only disappointing outlook is that all that money will go to simply replace the likes of Eriksen, Vertonghen, Rose etc. instead of having a quality XI and sprinkling some top quality

Seems really odd that such a heralded stadium, that is hosting CL football and NFL, doesn’t yet have a naming rights deal.

It’s pretty good for brand Tottenham that our name is being splashed around everywhere.
