Look at it this way, this time last season are league form started to take a nose dive and we were just about enjoying the CL.

We have had it pretty good in the last 5 years with regular CL football (ok no trophies ) and a Spurs fan I cannot remember a time like this when we have been so consistent in the league. It's has been great in that respect except for this season.

There is always a down turn in cycles and I truly believe we are in free fall now but when Kane, Son and Sissoko are back (probably next season and after a few signings with some of the deadwood gone) we will be better season. I actually think we will finish 7th, 8th or 9th this season.

Would hate to be in the Europa League next season too, so a season without Europe might actually benefit us in the league. Look at Leicester right now.

Call me old school but I see no point on crying about the situation on a faceless forum and it does not change our current plight in the slightest. Stay positive and pray for the best.

we are all doing that secretly but what fun would this forum be if no one was negative and overreacting

Short term I'm hoping Mourinho can do what he did with United and Chelsea and have a much better second season in the league. That's if we have the right tools to work with. I mean I don't exactly feel confident we'll hold on to all our best players after this season.

Now would absolutely be the best time for another big team to slap down an offer for Kane. We won't make CL and he'll be 27 and at the stage of his career where he must think it'll never happen with Spurs.

I've said it before but if were to sell him it would not be the end of the world given our current model under Levy. We would raise lot of dosh.

Can see Both Barca & RM making offers for Kane this summer..... Benzema, Messi and Suarez all getting old..... Personally don't think Kane will be at Spurs next summer. If we sell him we might as well cash out on Dele as well... He's totally shlte without him & Eriksen..... Cash out & start again. Keeping Kane as some kind of Club posterboy has got us nowhere... We are a one man team that can't afford for that to be the case.... Barca can with & Messi & RM did with Ronnie because they were able to build around them.... We cant afford to do that. Keeping Kane is the WRONG decision for Spurs. Saying that, Levy will price him out of a move and we'll ruin next season with ANOTHER key player that doesn't want to be there

Agree with Diamond here 👍

What would be the price Levy would put on Kane’s head??

£150M-£200M???

comment by Hengy (U9129)

I don’t think anyone would go near Kane for the price we’d want

Kane and Alli could net Spurs £250m, probably. That's a nice little pot to fund a new team.

Then again, as soon as Spurs rake in £250m on player sales, every selling club hikes their prices by a factor of 100%. So maybe not.

What a mess.

Kane isn't as irreplaceable for Spurs as he was but I would still rather keep him. He's a big part of why we became an established CL team in the first place. Going to be hard to find a striker who can consistently score over 20 goals each season.

Thing is

There's this wild idea

Having TWO strikers

They could maybe contribute 15 goals each over the season

would Rather sell Kane because we are looking long term and because we are serious about a proper rebuild.... Keeping kane and buying a bunch of average players to play Jose Hoffball is a waste of time..... Hire a young, progressive manager, invest in youth, sell Kane & Dele and look at the big picture with the objective of being back in the CL in 2 years by which point we can use stadium proceeds to build in a more sensible way... Would do it all this summer..... we could try it with Jose but I dont think he's patient enough for a project like that...... Would offer it to Nagglesmann personally

Our history of buying strikers is pretty shiiite though as well so there is that. I mean we only ended up with a world class striker like Kane by chance. Look at the strikers we've actually chosen to sign.

Keep Kane, buy better scouts, and then go for a decent second striker.
