Anyone know much about Milik? Can’t say he’s someone if seen play much

Big slow lump isn't he? No right foot. Basically an inferior Giroud. Says a lot that Napoli retrained Mertens as a central striker even though he's about 4ft tall. Though obviously Mertens is quality.

I thought he was quite good, a bit RVP-Esque at times but Ledley wouldn’t trade knees with him

Tbf I'm not a fan of the old fashioned target man so I'm maybe a bit biased.

Hmmmmm

#thfc have rejected a swap deal from Juventus involving Tanguy Ndombele and Aaron Ramsey. Spurs informed Juve the midfielder will not be sold as he is part of José Mourinho's plans. | @TelegraphSport

Imagine replacing Ndombele with someone who gets on the pitch even less

I find it tough to criticise Levy on the whole. Everything he has done from the club on a non-footballing perspective has been near-perfect. Also apparently at the end Poch kept vetoing signings that Levy tried to get on the cheap like Lewis Cook or Mawson - obviously the latter sucks but it’d be interesting to see where we would be had a few more players come in.

I think if we had a top class DoF our set up would be perfect.

Like, imagine we had Campos or Michael Edwards 3/4 years ago. I think we’d be talking about trophies.

Aye but it’s like a manager - you need the right one. Not one who will pick a fight with every member of your team

whilst i get from a non footballing point of view, its even harder to not criticism him from a footballing point of view which is what us fans are most interested in at the end of the day. much more non footballing stuff going on? they build the biggest climbing wall in europe yet?

Trouble is, the whole point of a DoF is to spend the club's money. That's exactly why it won't happen under Levy

Tbf I think Campos hasn’t had much budget to work with at all

From the athletic

"As far as the transfer market goes, Tottenham will listen to offers for Serge Aurier at the end of the season and hope to replace him with Norwich’s Max Aarons, though Mourinho is understood to have reservations that he is too small. But even if a deal for Aarons is possible, he will not be a panacea for a defence that has been shaky for coming up to two years now."

"Tottenham will look to address their lack of defensive midfielder by attempting to sign Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg from Southampton in the summer. Hojbjerg is a genuine ball-winner — no outfielder in the Premier League tops his 10.6 recoveries per game this season — and so he would give Tottenham something they have been lacking. The Athletic understands no agreement has been reached but there is confidence a deal will be struck."

"Levy has ruled out selling the likes of Harry Kane and Dele Alli in the summer to fund a squad overhaul, and so Mourinho will have to prove he is still able to maximise the talents of his existing players.

Finding a way to get the most out of record signing Tanguy Ndombele would be a major step in the right direction in this regard, but as The Athletic reported last week he will look to leave if he doesn’t start playing before the end of the campaign. Paris Saint-Germain, who he nearly joined last summer and who are interested in a permanent deal, is his most likely destination. Barcelona also retain an interest but could only afford a loan. Many of Ndombele’s team-mates believe him to be the most talented player in the squad and have noted an increased intensity in training in the past weeks. So all is not lost yet."

Interesting but not surprising about Ndombele’s training. Hopefully he breaks Lucas’s ankles next training session.

Really don’t think Aarons is someone we should be after right now.

Spot on. I’ve said this many times on this thread.

Off course I’d probably have him over Aurier but we’d still be weak in the position especially in the immediate future but maybe turn out okay in 2/3 years time
