Eriksen came up with some huge goals last season but his overall play like most dropped a bit.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And almost a huge mistake with the back pass in the City game.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Clearly knew he was offside and used that perfectly to waste time.
Clear agenda here by spurtle

What agenda?

My point was really that losing his form towards the backend of his spell at Spurs does not make him overrated.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I already said why I thought he had been overrated by some Spurs fans, and it wasn't just that form at the backend of his spell.
Still he was a great player for us.

Be careful what you wish for I suppose.
Since Eriksens debut for us he created more chances than any other player in the premier league (571), 2nd in big chances only to KDB (73), more assists than anyone (62), more direct free kicks than anyone (8), goals from outside the box than anyone (23).
Now look at what we have now.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't think anyone would argue that we weren't in a better place when we had peak Eriksen, or the other players back then. Unfortunately for the last year or so he was part of the problem because he was playing poorly.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah was just responding to this really.
Still argueably our best player over the past 10 years who has scored countless of crucial goals for us.

Quite.
surely Sessegnon isnt going to get a sniff at Barca either
Honestly had a feeling all along that Sessegnon is going to turn out to be a decent player but no more. Plenty of time obviously but he just doesn't seem to have any really special, defining attribute that the best wonderkids have. He's not lightning quick, not an especially creative player, not got a rocket of a left boot, not an especially good dribbler, not a tough tackler.
Obviously you'd expect him to improve across the board as he gets older and more experienced but I don't really see which part of his game has the potential to develop into a real X-factor that sets him apart. Maybe I'm being unfair.
I'd say he is very fast and his movement is really good, very intelligent player for his age (similar to a younger Dele in that way)
The other things you listed though about how he isn't a very technical dribbler and doesnt have some bale esque kind of long shot is why I think he should be a wing back long term. Just don't think he has enough in his locker to be a top tier winger.
His skill set just sort of screams Kyle walker style full back who uses his pace, makes really smart overlapping runs and then also has respectable end product
Is he that rapid though? I always assumed so because of his position and youth, but I've never seen it myself. Maybe I keep looking away at the wrong moment. Granted he's not had much opportunity to show it off at Spurs
When he played against Bayern I think he really showed off his speed but his other performances under jose have been pretty quiet and he didn't really try and go past anyone
I’d say he’s a pacey player tbh

People said the same about Bale. The lad needs a chance to develop further, he could turn into the top class attacking LB that we all want.
i would be disappointed should Parrott, Skipp, Foyth(or sold) and Sessegnon not be loaned out. Skipp possible can stay if he is going to get more run outs and be the understudy to our new DM.
Beijing Guoan and Spurs are in negotiations for Kim Min-Jae. Both clubs want the transfer to happen. [@KBSnews]
Spurs have now opened negotiations with Schalke over Ozan Kabak. [@Ekremkonur]
Premier League has announced its transfer window will open on July 27 and close on Oct 5. Separate domestic window between PL & EFL clubs until Oct 16
so we'll be getting in what we need at the end of July/beginning of August then right
October 15th when we are 12th
I cant see anymore than 4 signings coming in so in which case a CB shouldnt be one of them

I have been watching Kim Min Jae extensively on YouTube and I can confirm that he's world class.
Seriously though, he looks to have an impressive range of passing and is pretty rapid considering his size.
CB can wait for next summer
I think we’re pretty well stocked there. I’d be more concerned about GK of CB currently
For me it goes:
DM
RB
LB
Backup ST
GK
CB
Yeah I agree. Though if we're really chasing CBs maybe there's something we don't know. Foyth and Jan are definitely off. Tanzania will be out of contract, Jose has picked Dier ahead of Toby consistently..
