He doesn’t need any for this. This is his debt being converted to equity.
RANGERS fans must wait to read a judge’s ruling on the latest round of the club’s long-running High Court fight over merchandise sales with Sports Direct owner Mike Ashley.
Judge Lionel Persey finished overseeing the latest in a series of hearings at the High Court in London earlier this year.
The judge, who had analysed a number of legal issues, was listed to hand down a ruling at a hearing in London on Thursday.
He said he had reached a decision – but he has not yet made his ruling publicly available.
I suspect that bad news is anticipated today and that Mr king is at his usual deflection tactics
If it doesn't work he'll provably go after Murdoch McLennan and his conflict of interest again
It was always intended that the debt would be converted to equity.

It might never actually happen. It has been announced today...that's the point
No, it hasn't been announced today. It has found its way into the Evening Times today, but the Evening Times has never been the quickest on the uptake.

Is that right?
When was the general meeting announced?
Not sure what you're arguing about or why? You seem to think it's a coincidence . I'm not so sure
Anyway...Looks like the judge has made his determination but isn't announcing it yet
The Evening Times few lines basically says both parties and fans are awaiting an announcement at some point on Thursday. Waste of time even putting that piece in - space filler I guess.

That was the plan. Apparently the judge has made his determination but went home early after hearing about Ali and Martin Luther king
The club's board have now organised a general meeting for June 19 to ask shareholders to accept a so-called Whitewash Resolution, that prevents Mr King's group from making another general offer for shares under takeover rules, as they bid to increase their stake in the club.

A sound plan indeed.
I will wait for Phil Magobbledygook or Heed to give us the lowdown on what's happening.

exactly...and timed so that it would come out today when they were expecting the court ruling that isn't actually coming today.
Btw...this resolution is misreported here...it's not designed to prevent Dave King from making another general offer...it's designed to avoid him having to make such an offer.
In any case, it will dilute a number of other shareholdings as predicted.
