Also is anyone a nervous flyer bit still travels a lot? I really don't like it in planes atall but if I let it get the better of me I wouldn't have had half the life experiences I currently do.

So I bite the bullet.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Used to hate it, barely bothers me at all now. I do get a bit tense when there's turbulence but nothing too bad.

And i currently live abroad but won't be disclosing where.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why the secret?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Because their's a few deranged nutters on here and the thought of them knowing where I am makes me feeling uneasy to put it mildly
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I doubt anyone would go through the effort to find you. Can't you even say the country?

I don't like it at all anymore and will skip internals in foreign lands for the most part and overland it which is a better experience anyway and border crossings are a lot more fun.

"Basically I want to spend the whole time eating and drinking different things than I'm used to. Don't think I can do that in Barcelona."

Why don't you think Barcelona offers different food and drinks? Is it a cities are all the same thing? I loved Barcelona, there's plenty to see and do, and quality local food 'on most corners'.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well I've been to about ten different places in Spain and all had the same food and drinks so I don't imagine Barcelona being much different
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ah, I see, things you're used to in Spain. That makes more sense.

Yeh exactly me. Funny enough despite my travelling experience and passion for it, I’m not actually a great flyer hate Turbulence. I’m a nervous flyer, but as I love travelling, I just bite the bullet and soldier on.

I remember when I went to Berlin about March last year and every single plane heading to Germany was delayed or cancelled (mine only the former luckily) and it was lashing down outside with strong winds, I was mentally writing a will while sitting at the airport

It’s the taking off I’m not a fan off. Once up I’m fine and I don’t mind landing either.

Although I was okay until I was coming home from Antigua and we had to take off during a thunder and lightning storm.

It was a night take off and all you could see is lighting around you with rain hammering down on to the plane.

Plane was all over the place.

Very strange Spurtle. You have been as far as Japan, yet have barely left the country. I find once you get the travel bug, it becomes like an addiction. I love travelling.

fking hell.. even sizz has left london more than that

That's only cause he's got rallies to attend.

Don, my brother lives in Japan so that explains why I've been out that far. Hoping to go again soon and this time hopefully a bit more travelling on the way.
