Top five is ridiculous in my opinion.
If we had got him it would certainly have papered over a lot of cracks in the last 6 seasons. I'm now imagining an alternate reality where Moyes retains Fergie's last title with a free-flowing attacking football spearheaded by Hazard and the passing of Fabregas...
That sounds about right to me. Bergkamp, Rooney, Suarez should also be in the conversation.
I wouldn't have him above Rooney for starters.

is it really? or just something to say without backing it up
You can guarantee lesser players from yesteryear will feature in lots of top 5 lists.

rooney was incredible for us in the 1st 6-7years, more power and pace than the incredible ball control and finesse hazard has

I am with the dippers on this.
Ronaldo, Rooney, Bergkamp, Shearer, Drogba, RVN, Henry, Nibbles, , Mo.......
Ronaldo
Henry
Rooney
Then there is the following who could all feature. Hazard, David Silva, aguero, Cantona, Giggs, Beckham, bergkamp, pires, Shearer.....
David Silva, Age
Somewhere between Ronaldo and Juninho, don't know where exactly
i think he defo falls into that category of just outside the best ever in this league but can hold his own against anyone else
Zlatan, Zola, ginola, Di Canio, Gazza,
Kaz
There was a hell of a lot more to Rooney than power and pace. What the hell were you watching?
Beckham, Owen, Asprilla, Lampard,

of course there was i didn't say otherwise i just said in comparison to hazard his game was more geared towards the side of power and pace compared to hazards, similar to how Ronaldo is compared to messi
Fantastic talent but not quite ruthless enough to rank among the very best.
Even Salah of last season was better than Hazard has ever produced
No Kaz you didn't say otherwise but that was your intent.

--------------
don't assume my intent , when Rooney lost his pace he wasn't close to the player he was which suggests that was pretty important attribute for him so its more than fair to use that to describe his style of play

His touch went too to be fair.
I think what caused Rooney to decline so Young was his attitude off the pitch.
LVG describes it perfectly. Said you couldn’t question his attitude on the pitch or in training but away from his attitude wasn’t the best.
Kaz
All the great payers decline when they lose their pace. It happens. That won't alter how incredible Rooney was for us and why he is way above Hazzard in the PL all time greats.
