Manager's contracts don't mean a lot Desi.

They don't, I totally agree, but can you see Wagner leaving a decent German side in the top division with the opportunity of playing European football for a second division side in England playing against mediocre sides like *WBA, Forest , Leeds, QPR?

I see the Blouses have sacked Gary Monk. I'd be happy to see him replace Super Frank if the need arises. Or Darren Moore. Not John Terry, though, Chelsea links or not. He's just a fundamentally unlikeable individual.

Nice of the Birmingham board to sack the manager when the reason for their low position was down to the board not the manager.

I am not in the least interested in what Birmingham do. But Gary Monk is not an adequate replacement for Frank Lampard.

I agree with Ramdini. I had wondered if Monk would be an ideal replacement IF Lampard goes. But he failed at Middlesbrough because he didn't play an attacking style of football and failed to get the best out of a squad with promotion experience.

We need someone with a likeable personality and who has an attacking football philosophy. No one has a bad word to say about Hughton (considered poorly treated at both Newcastle and Brighton) He's got experience of getting out of the Championship, I'm not 100% sure about his style of football but have bene informed he played an attacking style with the said clubs in the Championship but became more pragmatic at PL.

The Times report that Gerrard has resisted an approach from Derby (should) Lampard leave..........

How did he resist it, did he wrestle Mel Morris to the ground and run away?
