United tell Madrid to flog Bale elsewhere

It's pretty clear that newspapers know nothing 99.9% of the time, until something really happens or doesn't it's best to just ignore it

You are right. But if we did that, there would hardly be anything to talk about here in between the end and start of the next season.

Yeah very true. Hopefully some interesting transfers the prem clubs materialise in the end

I think Madrid are going to struggle to get rid of him. And he still has 3 years to go. Unless they pay half of his wages on loan which seems unlikely then he's got to stay.

Bale may as well get his PGA card. Plenty of golf for him.

They want to sell him for £75m at least. Based on that and his wages, no one will take him on.

I would be happy for us to give Madrid 12m and take hin on a yrs loan if we can't get any other right winger in. That pays for half his wages for the year. He is still a fantastic footballer and could well be the difference between us getting CL and not. We simply can't go into the season with Mata and Lingard as our RW options again. Plus it gives us the year to properly scout Sancho who I am currently not wholly convinced or an alternative RW option

Then in that case they are stuck with him and his astronomical wages. They will have to come to some sort of compromise with another club and ultimately likelihood is they will lose out like we will with Sanchez. In both cases though i think the clubs just want the player out. Although I do think Bale has something left in him unlike Sanchez

Madrid need to make money though. And in both Bale and James they look like losing out. And among the list of players they need to sell, these two, due to their wages, are a big stumbling block (more so Bale).

If we could loan Bale with not demand to sign at the end of the loan, that would be good based as it allows us to assess the player and see if he is a good fit or another Falcao.

150m for pogba. No one is stupid enough to pay that. I

I think the price is to deter anyone bidding.

130m and I'd take it. He doesn't want to be here and he hasn't been a huge success either.

Keeping a player like him against his will is simply asking for trouble l. We've seen how easily he just stops trying.

I don't buy into the fact he doesn't want to be here. I believe he is fine at United however he may well prefer being at Madrid and will end up there. Probably not this season as I can't see how they can afford it

A very frustrating player. He's always been inconsistent even for Juve and France he was hit and miss. But it looks like United will persist with him.

pogba's contract runs out in 2021, if we dont sell him this summer then we are in a really weak position going into next season and risk him going for free

They can afford it easily. They've barely spent anything for 4 years and all deals completed by June 30 count in previous years figures. So if they sign Pogba or Mbappe in July it won't add on to the £300m they already spent.

Another good point. I think he will go to Madrid.

Don’t want Bale as a buy. It’s a waste of money. And his wages are astronomical. We’re already having issues with another high earner flop in Sanchez.

Madrid can f...k off. There’s a reason why they are struggling offload him, and I have no sympathy for them.

As for Pogba, I know that they want him. But they’ve got to watch what they spend and how to balance their books. Why should we make it easy for them to get Pogba? He may have had his issues here, but he was one of the leagues better statistical performers last season.

Glad we’re not stupid to buy Bale.

If Madrid want rid of Bale they're going to need to pay him at least £450k p/w for the next three years to supplement his salary at any club that takes a punt..

Similar scenario for us with Sanchez.

we have an option for an extra year

i know it happened with us with sanchez but you cant help smile a bit when a club ends up in a situation like this, paying ridiculous money for someone then wanting rid less than a few years later, real will have to take a hit one way or another

posted on 13/6/19

Real have spent around 350m

If they buy Pogba, that's half a billion on transfers

That's a sign the end is nigh.

All their best players are in or around their 30s and the younger lot haven't managed to be as good as they were expected.

A bit like us, but unlike us, they will be ruthless in getting rid of them.

They've looked ever so ruthless with Bale.

You will leave!

No I won't. Pay me.

End of discussion.

Buying Bale now would be insane, but would anyone take him on loan for the season?

Watched him the other day for Wales and he's starting to look a bit leggy to me..
