TheCarrickFan on YouTube is generally spot on

Craig Norwood is usually good a few days before a signing.

I don't think that there is one you can say will get it right all of the time though. I'm sure that there is an element of truth to a lot of the claims of some but when things change they look to be spouting BS.

I try not to be sucked in but I can't help but check Twitter for transfer news even though I know it's going to end up in disappointment.

From my own personal view, only the BBC are credible these days. Transfer speculation in terms of reliability has declined badly the last few years, Sky used to always be the best but now they’re getting it wrong more often than usual.

In terms of journalists, Kristof Terrur is extremely reliable when it comes to Belgian footballers. He’s always got the down low on their national team so it’s worth keeping an eye out on any Lukaku news from him.

Craig Norwood is a good shout Diafol, he’s the club photographer and seems to only pipe up when we’ve got a player in carrington having his medical.

Morning Diafol.
I’m not up to speed on journos tbh. I never check Twitter.

I blame the 24 hour nature of news and always trying to be first for this. That and Sky Bet.

I just treat all the speculation as a bit of fun now really but when he's tweeting it's a bit more solid.

Is Kristof Terrur saying anything about Tielemans or Alderweireld at the moment? (Too lazy to look myself!)

I find Twitter has a lot of rational and largely accurate transfer speculation on it.

Arab, I tend to stick with the BBC. Sky Bet influences a lot on the Sky transfer reporting imo. Shouldn’t be allowed.

I agree Babyen, definite conflict of interest there.

Sky Bet aren’t even owned by Sky anymore either but I still don’t trust most of SSN’s news.

We have the most fans and websites need clicks for money so even a website about the safe handling of turnips will have an article "Man Utd Transfer Rumours" and we would click it and they would get lots views, because we are idiots.

"Cristiano Ronaldo has not ruled out a return to Old Trafford"

I saw him on the TV at the airport and at no point did I see him rule it out. Therefore not technically untrue.

I didn’t know that Arab. Like you say though, I don’t particularly trust their reporting either. If they said it was raining in my area, I’d have to look through the window to check.

Many credible journalists out there, the idea that "journos" only write for clicks is nonsense, yes there's an element of it but any decent writer won't just mnake stuff up that could damage their reputation.

Those are poor journalists. As in they don't make money as the truth doesn't pay.

I see your point, but can’t really comment on any of them, as I’m not up to speed on them. Hence the genuine question in the op.

Maybe they should sell their stories to the highest bidder. Then buy it back for twice the price. They’d make it all back in clickbait.

They then get to write their story and make money that way.
