Yup. Turnbull likely to have set a new benchmark.
A couple million is a stretch, Turnbull just at the same level as McGinn was last year anyway so nothing new
I'm not sure. Couple million for a new international isn't that out of his range and turnbull too. And mcginn was a Scotland starter already this time last year too
I think Brophy is technically very poor. Looked way out his depth even against Cyprus for Scotland.
Nothing much about him other than a bit graft. Chucks himself about to win fouls.
If he is the best we can come up with we might as well turn the lights out.
Who says he's even a target? But if you want significantly better you need a combination of a hugely increased scouting network and a bigger budget
We will never win a league with guys like Brophy and Greig Stewart up top
Stewart is a freebie that won’t be on massive wages so don’t mind him so much as an option on the bench.
But fook laying out even semi serious coin on someone like Brophy.
His appearance for Scotland under Clarke will be likened to Levein picking Gary Kenneth in years to come.
No problem with Stewart. We struggled last season due to a lack of depth. Stewart is free and not likely to be on high wages.
He's cover for the attacking midfield role and has shown guile and creativity that we lacked at points.
He won't be a starter but there he's an option against packed defences.
Can't say i'm excited but he gives us cover where we had none.
