To be honest I was never really jumping up and down with the thought of us signing him, putting this in the meh drawer of my mind 😎

Just seen a message there from someone close to him, knocked back £7,500 basic that could rise to £10K basic if we qualify for CL and that’s without bonuses etc.

Apparently wants the move to England himself, that’s fair enough if he does. Should have made that clear early doors though, money was also a factor otherwise he’d have said no straight away.

I wasn’t keen at first but it grew on me I won’t lie and this is a disappointment, could have seen him developing very well at us.

Was my opinion until it looked like it was happening then I started to see the reasoning behind it. It’s not a massive loss to the first 11 but it’s a humongous loss to the board after everything the last few months.

I don’t think this is their fault but the tweets are absolutely horrific.

I think the wording on the tweets is OTT, but don’t have a problem with them letting fans know what happened.

He'll double his money in England, probably get a million a year and he'll be guaranteed first team football AND be out of the Goldfish bowl.

Don't really give a fvck to be honest, I don't remember ever seeing him play, and I said before we made an offer i'd much prefer Henderson to get a fair crack at the first team next season.

As for the statement, probably better left unsaid, but I can understand us making a statement after the mass hissy fit last year with McGinn, they are merely keeping the fans informed if the facts before mass hysteria about us offering him 500 quid a week starts to circulate.
