Because those 3 are the most likely out of “70 odd” given your current position WITH Solskjaer as manager.
That is key.

Whereas Van Gáal and Mourinho has some gravitas, not to mention Man Utd were still seen as in a blip, and could still sign big names.

Klopp is a facking top manager. He’s got us to 4 finals and a massive points total only bettered by the most expensive squad of all time.

No you're not wrong, those are both facts.

What I was highlighting is that Solskjaer is not the right manager for Man Utd. He is unproven, at best. At worse he is a Cardiff reject.

How he came to be Man Utds permanent manager on a three year contract is bizarre.

If he sees out that contract I would happily eat a straw hat and eat some if it.

The chances are OGS is not only the wrong man for the United job but in fact he'll be worse than Moyes, LVG and Moirinho.

Had United just appointed Klopp (pre Liverpool even) the chances would be a lot, lot higher he'd be a success.

I'd like to see OGS do well, it's just very unlikely he will given he has no real pedigree as anything even close to a top class manager

Beyond improving the side and bringing back a more youthful attacking approach I'm not sure?

You know what I'm saying though, it's such a big gamble particularly when one of the major issues still at play is the fact there isn't a knowledgeable football man above the manager at United.

Chances are very very slim that a novice will lead to success in any set up let alone the one in place at your club at the moment

His remit is to oversee a two year rebuild with players who are young and want to play for United and to improve the quality of the football.

The club went for him purely because of his connections to the club and learning from the best their was.

We have tried getting known managers and have failed.
