Interesting appointment by Killie. Alessio was Conte's assistant at Juve, Chelsea & Italy.

He'll have them set up as hard to beat I would have thought and probably schooled in the 'dark arts' as seen in Serie 'A'.

Good man doing vol work...

I did it in the eighties and it helps everyone concerned.

Thought of counselling after I got some and had a course set up, but money blocked this route.

Kinds regret it.

Mindfulness is a lifesaver btw.

I don’t do the vol work for praise (no one does) but more to give back if that makes sense?

No one chooses where they are born or what they are born into. I was born into a family that worked hard for everything and that was instilled into me. Other kids that grew up in the same closes, tenements and streets had different upbringings and ended up in jail, drugs or dead.

I’m one of the fortunate ones so if I can help the less fortunate kids these days then that’s enough for me

👏👏 good man Call Sign, I do a bit of helping out with St Vincent De Paul. A lot of folks under a lot of pressure out there, it's easy to turn a blind eye and judge but if we can help in any small way then why not

Did MHFA a quite disturbing draining yet fantastically enlightening 2 days

Not nearly enough funding but a large number of voluntary organisations so always a voice to talk or ear to listen

The black dog is everywhere in many forms but so is help
Don’t let it win .... talk

Good thread lads.

Happy Da's Day to all.

I had mine yesterday for reasons I'll not bore you with.

And it was a cracker

Things were much harder but simpler for our Da's.

It's a trickier business these day.

I see you're still dropping random 'l' letters into nouns.

Leo

Quite often family / mate isn't the best person in the first instance.

That has to come obviously at some point.

I would reveal stuff on here I wouldn't say to the missus or weans.

Very encouraging the way more males now admit to needing support.

It's a pretty recent thing as well.

Yes definitely changing but still not enough
Money is badly needed to raise awareness and bring the confidence to get help

We still have a large proportion of ‘pull yourself together’ mentality

But this is real not 1 single family will not at some point experience to some degree

It positive more people come forward for help but still the tip of the iceberg

Duke agree entirely.

One of the few good things on follow follow is a very good pinned thread on depression and associated conditions

It’s a get it out there and support discussion

Perhaps admin would consider similar
It’s a small thing but if it helps even one person it’s worth it

Don’t think we need it in the sense we tell the truth on here which is great
We all have different truths we just need to understand the other persons truth is as valid as ours
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I meant the whole site 1 pinned thread

I would also think while we might think it’s not needed I would wager that most on here will face this either themselves or with family or friends or workmates

It’s everywhere
Depression
Bipolar
Self harm
Anxiety disorder
Eating disorder
Psychosis

And numerous personality disorders

But maybe this isn’t the place
Not quite sure why not though

Duke Mighty and Zach.

I know we can talk here, but there is a Black Dog depression thread where some chat and I have been on recently as am coming off happy pills and drinking beer and dealing with a daughter not wanting to go to Grammar school, work schite and life.

Got some sound advice off a few guys who saw me in even madder mode than usual here at times.

Always ready to chat Duke and co.

As Leo says, best medicine as there are millions like us.

Forgot about that thread.

Well worth a re-read.

Saw this one was back at the top of the recently viewed threads. First thought...'what's Quinny saying to this one'?
