I think had Kane not played we would still have lost. Only people would be going nuts at Poch for not starting Kane.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think you’d have done better without him. He was your worst player in the final.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Reason for that isn't just that he wasn't 100% fit, it's that he is very very predictable as to where and how he will play.
That is meat and drink to Matip, never mind to VVD. More fluidity would have caused us mkre problems.

Yeah out of all Spurs players Son is top of the list.

I am not 100% sure about the source but the report says Klopp is gearing up to make two bids for two Spurs players in the summer window. Players are:
Lucas Moura and Son Heung-min

This is surely some sensational journalism?

Link: https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1141161/Liverpool-Jurgen-Klopp-Tottenham-Son-Heung-min-Lucas-Moura-John-Aldridge-transfer-news

I am sure someone will come here and make a comment like Express

Whatever, are we seeing a new low for journalists because the transfer window has been so lame so far, they are making things up now?

It's all garbage mate, chill!

I can`t see Son and Lucas wanting to join that awful football club

All I will say is that there are very few leaks from LFC these days.

See for example the Fabinho signing.

Starting Kane was 100% the right decision. He’s Tottenhams talisman and him playing lifts the whole team. The mistake was playing Alli instead of Moura

Yeah Kane is a great goal scorer. But I don't think hes technically that great and he ruins attacks. Spurs play better with Son.Hes more of a fluent attacker.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
I get slated by my own fellow fans for saying similar to this. You can see this, why can't they?

The only player I would take from Tottenham would be Son. The rest of em are rubbish. Even Kane.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why oh why do people today brush off Moura's incredible hat trick against Ajax? Back in the day it took one goal to realize a player had immense talent/skill. Maradona in the 86 World Cup against England (after 'the hand of god' goal) and Klinsman also against England in a later World Cup I think it was. Nevertheless, these events put players like these on the map, so to speak, so why with Moura's insane single-handed CL Final qualifying performance is he now, weeks later, "meh". Or even in your words, rubbish?

I’d say more playing Son instead of Moura. Dele player really well in the SF linking up with Moura, whereas Son had been on a run of poor performances since his goals at City in the QF.

Well said.

Erm. He has a point. Yes close. Our own fans seem to have rose tinted specs (no pun intended). Yet other fans see our weaknesses and all the costly fatal mistakes Mau (Poch) makes with his selections.

I dont think he looked any less fit than the rest of the squad, we hadn't played in 3 weeks and it showed.

Was hardly like everyone looked super sharp and then Kane was plodding along trying to keep up

Yup. And not only not fit. Not on form. Ace called it when Moura who was blatantly not only on form, but on fire, was needed from the off.

"Kane's big and clunky and speaks funny so hes probably technically limited and just a Kevin Davies type" seems to be the logic here

Hes an excellent technical player ffs

posted on 16/6/19

Dont know where this whole "kane ruins our attacks and son doesnt" mentality comes from either

Theres a reason we've been calling son clownshoes since he first arrived

Brilliant player but boy can he mess up our counter attacks, did It loads in the final

Not technically that great? Have you actually got any insight to back that up or is it just sheite that you’re reeling off?

For a start he’s a lethal finisher, as backed up by us stats. That’s not even up for debate. He also has excellent hold up play when he comes deep, either forcing fouls or pulling others into play with his lay offs. He’s also one of the best passers of the ball in the Spurs squad; look at some of the assists and goals he’s created with his long range passing. He’s also an excellent long range shooter, again backed up by his goals.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
OK well read my next comment. Kane clearly when on form is a must-have play-maker. But what I have seen since the opening of the new stadium he has clearly been out of sorts. Call it karma, but he looked like he felt entitled to score the first goal in the new stadium, and that piece of history writing went to Son. Then, maybe out of immaturity (you can see him with his puffy hoodie and iPhone when sitting down when he was out injured) he goes and gets himself injured by some stupid tackle. This is not the behavior of a disciplined self-controlled player. I like Kane, or at least I liked him. With all this ellusive half-time team talk against Ajax (which the players said happened yet the manager said didnt) something is clearly not running smoothly here.

I just hope next season we don't go backwards. Our club needs to solidify, not have cliquey rifts between themselves.

Ace, come on mate. Ajax away was Dele’s first good game since about January. Son was unlucky not to make team of the season. I can’t believe more Spurs fans weren’t calling for him to be dropped for the final, instead it was Son or Moura.

Tl;dr

Kane feels entitled to get opening goal at new stadium.

Doesn't get it.

Gets himself injured (a la Gazza style) with a self-inflicted injury from a tackle.

Clearly not fit (or on form) he is played in the CL Final instead of on fire hat trick qualifying Moura from the Semi's.

We lose.

Blame it both on manager and Kane himself. All goes back to the opening of the new stadium.
