The whole we move on stuff was so embarrassing
I guess that the transfer negotiations are not the normal back and forth in this case, hence the twitter post. Obviously the club felt strongly enough to air their feelings, and to be fair, Motherwell's announcement that the fee was agreed put extra pressure to get the player tied up.
If he walked away, we'd accuse the board of going down the McGinn route again. Most fans would have expected him to be signed up in time for pre-season today. No win situation for the club.

There are some rumours doing the rounds that Lazio are interested in Edouard but i don’t think we’ll even entertain any buds this summer

If the boy wants better money or better terms then so be it ,he can enjoy Barnsley or whoever it is
I hope to fck we have some signings up our sleeves , a huge year for the club and although it's very early it doesn't really look like we have a master plan
If we are going to appoint Lennon off the pitch then we at least need to upgrade on the pitch ..

i didnt agree with the wording of the tweet but i think its important that celtic clarified their position.
everyone (including myself) would have said they were offering him buttons or something, if thats not the case and the agent is at it then fine.
