You can’t just do away with agents ffs

The amount of money in the game is staggering, even in Scotland at the bigger clubs.

£10-35k a week plus add ons and sponsorships can be anything on an annualised basis from £600k - £3m a year. For 4-5 years!!!!

Of course you have someone respires this your interests.

I just don’t read it like that at all.

He’s been chased after by us and maybe other clubs and now at such a crucial stage in his career he has potentially a life changing decisions to make.

We’ve given him what appears to be a very good offer but others are in the wings. I think his agent is absolutely right to explore those options and there’s nothing wrong with him taking his time to make such a huge choice at all.

It’s not his or his agents fault we’re in a massive rush and tbh we shouldn’t be putting that kind of pressure on him ffs.

Give the man some space. He’s being played in the national press. None of this is his fault. Purely conjecture. Nothing more.

I suppose you think Tierney should slap a transfer request in as he’d certainly earn more money or is it different if it’s someone who is staying at Celtic cos that’s a wise decision?

I am not saying he is wrong just saying that we as a club need to be getting on with it, no harm in asking him to make up his mind as soon as he can please as we have games coming up pretty soon and need to no where we are with the squad.

Nope. Disagree again.

We are reaping the seeds we failed to sow due to our inaction and unwillingness to address the crucial areas of our squad over the past 2-3 years.

And why is midfield suddenly a priority? This is an area we do have strength and as a 19 year old he’s not being bought to become next seasons mainstay so we and he and his agent can take time on this one.

My thoughts fwiw is that we are trying to appease the extremely disgruntled fan base who want action now. The think the club have failed to grasp is we want specific action in specific areas.

Well sorry that this lad seems to be caught in the middle due to our years of inactivity but bigger picture is that we shouldn't be focussing so much attention on one deal left hanging out there. Sort it one way or the other and get focused on the defence.
