What about Killie's managerial appointment btw, top appointment that is.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They did what any well run club would do.
Drew up a detailed profile of what they wanted.
Scoured the market for interested and available candidates.
Interviewed a shortlist of top applicants.
Narrowed it down to their favourite and agreed terms.
Just the same as Celtic did.

imagine we blow the league this year.
the backlash will be phenomenal man, probably the biggest meltdown of all time.

Its early enough and you have plenty of dough so there shouldn't be a problem.
You still have the core of a treble winning team so it should really just be about filling in the gaps left by the ones that have gone and refreshing one or two areas of the park.
How wrong can you get that?
Sorry in advance
It was 42 million for cl group stage qualification last season jfk - went up from the 30 mil the season before.
Our biggest threat was always going to be our own board.
They've royally made a kant of it already and i can only see it getting worse.
Broony in the press giving it heavy flirting with Turnbull.
All a bit much really
42 million
thats sackable offence as far as i'm concerned.
CL group stages and Boyata sale would have meant we'd have made £85 million alone from CL and player sales last season.
Lawwell must have sleepless nights at that

Not when you've bridged the gap by doing things another way.
Which is what we have done and better tbh. It's far better to make the same profit on a lower turnover and that's what we've done.
glad we didnt gamble by buying a cb we were going to have to buy this year anyway
that could have backfired in no way, shape, or form.
What we thinking about Turnbull then? I'd still like him in the door no bother!
Not bothered now, was dissapointed on Friday but that's subsided.
If he comes in then fair enough but i don't see many benefits for the boy now Celtic have hung him out to dry a bit already.
Fans will turn on him in an instant if it doesn't work out.
Or he might take it in his stride.

Nope.
because we wouldn't have sold Dembele and nor we would we have sold Boyata. They'd have likely stayed if we had remained in the CL or we would have had to spend more to replace them.
the expectations have dropped and reality has set in when you don't get CL group qualification. Something we always knew would happen one day.
We have as promised by the board done well in spite of that happening.
3 million and 20k a week for a lad who has played 6 months of spfl football, seems a bit meh,

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agreed.
And if fans turn on him they need to take a fwcking long hard look at themselves.
I think we will strengthen the RB, CB and LB position (cover) I fear we will not have the foresight to strengthen the CF position. To be honest I would punt griff why the fook we extended his contract last season I will never know
if we didnt sell dembele then we would have been about 60 million up with dembele still with us
but nah, we did.
and tried to replace him with naebody.

Inevitable though.
"Wee pr!ck didn't want to come in the first place, get him to fluck"
And that's just after a pre season game.
It's one of those ones that's easily glossed over though. 'He was on holiday, a bit of a misunderstanding with the boy's agent but all sorted now' can see that being trotted out.
Tell ye one thing man, the Lennon announcement right after the final onwards has been a complete sh!tshow at Celtic Park. Feel like we're pure jakes tbh
He won't get £20k, no chance.
