Don’t know if anyone on here went to the ‘friendly’ against Rangers at Molineux in the 70s. What a nightmare that game was. The Rangers fans spent the afternoon smashing shop windows in the town centre then piled into the south bank hurling bottles at Wolves fans and onto the pitch. One of Molineux’s worst ever games for hooliganism

That was Chelsea fans mate ..๐๐
Mates dad was wolvesxamd rangers so I heard stories about that.
Hope it is peaceful if wolves and rangers meet and would love to go over to wolves home leg.
Rangers and Celtic fans do tend to go mad in England.. I was in London in 86 for spurs v rangers and it was bedlam.
Wolves fans.
You will get no trouble at Crusaders in north Belfast.
Tough area, but decent people and fans and a new social club at Seaview for beers.๐คฉ๐คฉ
Don't know anything about Mariupol of Ukraine other than they finished 4th in their league, but clearly EUFA consider them a better team than Wolves as they have been seeded to the 2nd round.
Both legs of the Wolves v Crusaders tie are to be shown live on the Premier Sports channel in the UK. That’s a subscription channel at £11.99 a month

Not the case wulfrun. Wolves are the top seeded team in the group. The reason Mariupol were seeded to thus stage is that they were knocked out of the champions league qualifiers
I see, but it still means that EUFA consider 4th in Ukraine to be better than 7th in the PL. Can't see that myself.
Actually I’m wrong they weren’t in the champions league. So it’s odd that they don’t enter the competition until this stage, but Wolves are seeded in the draw and Mariupol aren’t
probably something to do with coefficients, Ukraine are carried in Europe by Dynamo Kiev and Shakhtar and i think it is spread over several years.
Not sure I fully understand this Spangles. You say Wolves are seeded and Mariupol not, but Wolves start in round two and have to beat Crusaders to progress, whereas Mariupol get a bye straight to the third round.
I am as confused as you on that wulfrun. Mariupol are entering the competition at this stage but in the draw they are not one of the seeded teams. Wolves are one of the top seeds.
There are 52 teams in the draw tomorrow. Half of them are seeded including Wolves and those teams cannot be drawn against another seeded team. The other half including Mariupol are not seeded and will be drawn against a seeded team.
It would appear that teams enter the competition based on points awarded for where they finish in their leagues. And it would seem Mariupol by finishing 4th in the Ukraine league are able to get byes from the first two rounds whereas Wolves as 7th in the English league only get a bye in the first round.
But once you are in, whether you are seeded or not is based on the individual club coefficients, and Wolves are 13th seeds whereas Mariupol are way down. Weird system
Still seems very odd, so 7th in the PL is worth fewer points than 4th in the Ukraine league or, presumably, 4th in any league, say the league of San Salvador, or even Wales for that matter.
Caernarfon Town, who have a stadium with 600 seats, finished 4th in the Welsh Premier League.
Actually who realyy gives a fck?

actually I meant San Marino, not San Salvador which is in Central America, so even EUFA couldn't seed them in this cup
If we beat Crusaders we will play either Pyunek or Jablonec in the third qualifying round. First leg away on August 8th, second leg at Molineux on August 15th
Pyunek are from Armenia and Jablonec are from Czech Republic
Jablonec the better side of the two but no trip to Armenia is easy. We played Jablonec in a friendly recently didn't we? Lost I think?
Pyunek meet Jablonec on Thursday on the same day we play Crusaders, although that game is at 2:30 in the afternoon. Jablonec will be the likely winners of the tie and are 4/7 to win the first leg away.
We played Jablonec in a friendly in July 2017 as part of our pre season tour of Austria and the Czechs won 1-0. That was our first defeat under the management of Nuno.
No tickets yet on sale for Wolves supporters for the Crusaders away match in Belfast. As their stadium only holds 3,000 how many are we going to get? Maybe none?
