5 of the 10 outfield players we put out for the Europa final are over 30. Would have probably been 6 out of 10 had Mkhitaryan played.

Apparently we've fended off competition from Newcastle, West Ham AND Brighton for the signature of Claude-Maurice.

Will still never understand how we got ourselves into the financial situation we have.
Also, we're beginning to see first hand how easy it is for top 4 clubs to perpetuate themselves there and how hard it is for teams outside the top 4 to get back in: a reason it was never much of an achievement for years that Wengie called 4th place a "trophy" as we were holding off the likes of Spurs, Everton and even Aston Villa. It's not just the extra money, but how much more attractive you are to targets when you play CL. It's hard to see any player that would reject CL clubs for us - except we offer silly money that we don't have.

Saliba (no loan), Andersen, Tierney, Ziyech, Martinelli, Claude-Maurice and a BBCM.

Yet we haven't really sold anyone for about 5 years - just lost players due to their contracts running down for low prices.

I think the story it tells is we have not bought well, not developed well, and not handled contracts well.

Even without knowing how any of those guys would adapt, I'd say that looks like an excellent summer, DJ.

Wouldn't even expect a back-up 'keeper if we were to get that lot in.

Last player we sold who we wanted to keep was probably Cesc or Nasri.

We didn't want to sell Ox.

We didn't want to sell Alexis either, but he demanded obscene wages to stay.

The choice with Ox and Alexis was sell them for a (smaller than market rates) fee or let them go for free - we wanted to sell. There was no "keep" option.

Ugh. We've been such a chitshow in transfer markets lady few years I can barely muster any interest.

Anyone we bring in is probably gonna be uttershit, anyone we sell will be for a ridiculously low price.

Last year of contract and wrote that letter...

Ziyech would be a good addition. Technically a very good player who also works hard.
The others are young and much room to improve.

Arsenal have always been a smart club in their recruitment of players. Dein and Wenger worked well in tandem.

I think Gazidis have really facked the club up with letting players running their contracts down.

Ziyech would be a great signing. Unfortunately that is true for clubs better placed than us as well

£35M asking price for Ziyech. Unless we manage to sell two of Mustafi, Ozil or Mhiki, I can't see us getting any luck.
