It's a pretty overrated goal in the context of the game. There have been dramatic United goals that haven't caused G.Nev to orgassm so much.

Think Chelsea would have held on. When Messi hit the post not long before the Torres goal I think they knew it wasn't their day.

That's true and of course we'll never know the counterfactual of what would have happened if Torres hadn't scored that goal. Maybe barca would've scored in the last few mins of stoppage time and knocked Chelsea out.
But the fact remains that in hindsight we know that it wasn't the winning goal and so it's nonsense to say that it 'sent them through to the final'.

How man minutes of injury time were there?
It annoys me more because Torres nearly lost us the entire tie by losing it in a dangerous area 30 seconds before AND not bothering to try and get the ball back, Bosingwa made a crucial interception that prevented a 2 vs 1 on Cech.

It made me laugh a bit on the Chelsea official website’s coverage of the retirement that he is ‘well known for winning the corner that led to Drogba’s equaliser’. I think we’ve/I’ve gotten so used to the praise he gets for ‘winning a corner’ that it hit me how silly it is lol. He got dispossessed by Lahm and it happened to go for a corner, probably the first and last time in football history such an inconspicuous moment can be revered so much.

He was such a letdown in a blue shirt but still loved him though regardless.
