probably didnt need to grab her but im getting pssed off that people are acting like she some victim of a horrific crime, she isnt injured shes perfectly fine, he didnt smash her face in
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's almost like breaking into somebody's house and having the crap kicked into you - then claiming assault...
----------------------------------------------------------------------

It's really not is it.

Firstly the lady said she didn't want to make a complaint - she's not claiming anything.

Secondly the investigation is at the instigation of the MP himself.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
The point is, everybody is defending this protester despite them having absolutely no right to be there in the first place.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I think if this thread proves anything its that everyone is not defending the lady.

Some think the reaction to a protest was over the top, those people include the MP himself who apologised unreservedly to the lady.

Others feel he acted appropriately and think the issue is with trespassers and, to a lesser extent, poor security.

I once karate kicked an 8 year-old who pulled out a water-pistol on me. Can’t be taking risks like that in this day & age.

He’s rightly been suspended and reported to the police.

Common assault at a minimum.

Give it 5 or 10 years and a response like that MP's won't just result in a sacking but a public flogging.

I find the "you could tell she wasn't a terrorist" argument absolutely ridiculous. How can you ever know?

Labour are just trying to gain political points by portraying him as an upper class thug and Greenpeace are loving the unexpected publicity.

I wonder if these fackers defending her would be so understanding if they gatecrashed a function they were attending.

Pretty much bang on.

Deliberately provoking a reaction to gain political points.

Pathetic - happens on both sides.

Hopefully MP is flying back soon to sort out some deals.

Wow, the misogyny is STRONG on this thread.

GreenPeace > Every Tory MP that ever lived.

I think it’s totally right! These protesters were trying to open the eyes of these blinded politicians that there is a climate EMERGENCY! We are on the brink of human extinction but so long as those privileged enough are comfortable in their ivory towers nothing will be done.

It is disgusting that this “man” had to resort to violence when the protestors were nothing but peaceful.

Wish Levy could be as efficient as that MP. He homed in on the target and got things done straight away.

if people cant handle a person being grabbed they wont be able to handle the drastic changes that are needed for the planet.

I'd agree it's a stupid thing to say but I also dont see how it's really relevant to the Mark fields incident

If hes literally just trying to make a point about that statement in a vacuum then fair enough - I got the impression he was playing out this conversation

"Mark fields had every right to do what he did because she could have been a terrorist"

"You could tell she wasnt a terrorist"

"How can you ever know?"

To which I would say that the original point raised is just as stupid as the reply
