Last week I got a train (7 hours) with my bike, then camped on a beach and then took a boat with bike on the roof and went to an island, then cycled to a hill and carried my bike up the hill and then cycled down and then cycled to a beach and then camped on the beach and cycled back and got the boat with the bike on the roof and there were dolphins swimming beside the boat and then I went to the pub back on the mainland and cycled after beer and camped and then got the train back (8 hours cos delayed) and then made fajitas when I got back

I have a driver's license. I have long hair in the picture from when I was a teenager and I once gave my ID to a young girl standing behind me in a queue to a nightclub and she used it to get into the club and had no issues. Now I do not have long hair but I still have the same ID. It is funny when I am asked for ID places. Lol

Anyway off for a morning cycle to cure my hangover. I bet you wish driving a car cures hangovers don’t you all?

I have a driving licence but I don’t need a car in London. Only delivery drivers, emergency vehicles and taxis should be allowed to drive in London. The rest are just angry, McDonald eating drivers

I feel sorry for pedestrians.

Not clever enough to pass a driving test and unable to ride a bike.

Terrible state of affairs.

What about wheelchair users? Not even smart enough to walk.

I saw a cyclist jump a red light right in front of a police car on Saturday. It was an enjoyable moment.

I assume you were equally as pleased to not be caught speeding, which you inevitably did for some of your journey.

I hope you kept to a safe pace then.

First day back cycling in London after my holiday

2 cars not indicating
1 lorry & 1 council van in the bike lane
2 pedestrians walking between cars
1 car jumping redlights

Of course, there was me crossing the road sensibly on a green man. I could have been mowed down by a mad cyclist who thought they could switch to being a pedestrian when the lights don't suit them!

Yay! Looks like we’re up and running again

Unlikely tbh.

As annoying as those people are, it's the red light jumping drivers you need to watch out for.

Winston and GT didn't stop, they have just relocated to another thread

Irish, you're loved and adored by all and sundry. Can you go break them up and chill before one of them completely loses it?

What thread?

Cars not indicating is an annoying one. But from a perspective that they don't often think about. When on foot and crossing a side road for example, you see that there is nothing turning into the side road so you begin to cross. Then a car suddenly pulls into the side road without indicating because they don't see any other cars so obviously doesn't matter if they don't indicate. So close to more murdering by drivers in this way every day.

There is also an epidemic in Edinburgh at the moment of young drivers driving around on motorcycles, uninsured and breaking every law going when on the road. Can something please be done about these drivers?

A natural result of an obsessed individual who follows me around telling me how awful I am, then getting angry and bringing mental health into it.

This kind of stuff happens all the time though and its normal. What are you lot going to do though about slowing us drivers down on the road with your cycles when you pay no tax at all?

If cyclists paid road tax then we could fix the potholes

The first thing I’m going to do is claim back the tax I’ve paid that the government have taken illegally from me.
